He can't sit out the rest of the year. That would be the dumbest thing this organization could do. How can you build this offseason around 2 good but flawed players who have never a played a game together? On paper we know what we need, but we need some games to see which pieces are more important to put around them. Wing defenders or rim protectors are a two completely different ways to build the team.

I hear what you are saying, but when has this strategy ever really paid off for the team? The reality is this team creates a self-perpetuating phenomena of losing. I can see a team using this strategy for a year or two when they strip themselves down to the studs. But we are no ordinary franchise. We're the worst in pro sports history and it's this sort of mentality that is baked into the culture and bones of the entire organization. Unfortunately, Rosas and Saunders have done nothing to change it.

Yeah I get what you're saying as well. Perhaps I'm operating under emotional addition (hope!) by physical subtraction (Wiggins!) and it gives me hope. Even Towns has become relatively intolerable to watch, so I'm okay with that for now. Ultimately another ping pong ball might give us 1 more useful player to choose from, and who knows from there. I do know that Rosas hasn't won many over with the draft, but he's doing decently well in the trade and free agency markets.

FWIW they are playing Boston who really only plays one true center and that's Kanter (only guy that plays listed over 6'8") and it looks like he doesn't even play a whole lot.

Uhh, Daniel Theis is 6'8, 245 lbs... Averaging 25 minutes per game over his last 20 games. I don't see him on any injury reports. He will be a factor to consider.

Theis plays and looks to me bigger than 6'8" but you will note in my post I said Kanter was the only guy that plays that is listed talller than 6'8". technically Juancho is taller than Theis...regardless Boston isn't a big team but I still would have Spellman up and available to play if nothing else in case of injury or foul trouble.

Im with you it dosen't make sense but I don't think we will play Spellman. Remember they didn't call him up for the Hornets game when Kat was out the 1st time

Well... to be fair... I'm a fairweather Boston fan from many, many years ago. I have people in my family who like them more than the Wolves.

I'm clinging to the Wolves still... for now. But I know a win for Boston means a lot more (battle for #2 seed).



[Note: So if we're just running with Houston North in almost everything we do... anybody else disappointed we have the junior member of the Houston management team? We have Morey's puppet/parrot... while the teams the Wolves are supposed to be competing against have the real thing.]

Brown and Tatum are two more examples of young prospects that weren't great shooters coming out of college (esp. Brown) and now suddenly are volume 3-point shooters at 38%+. And this took just a matter of a year or two to turn them into this!

Meanwhile, Culver and Okogie were decent shooters in school and only get worse and worse in the NBA.

This is a pattern that seemingly repeats itself over and over again with this franchise when it comes to its perimeter draft picks - Corey Brewer, Ricky Rubio, Andrew Wiggins, Tyus Jones, Okogie, Culver, etc.Guys that showed some potential in lower level leagues (NCAA or Europe in Rubio's case) that they could develop into at least average shooters and then it just never ever happens. Is it a curse? Bad luck? Bad scouting up front?
