Interesting. I guess I got in a few last lurks before it went down. I'd check over there every once in a while to see what people were thinking around draft times or something like that. Sometimes Inwould actually get some good info. Lol

Yeah, it was the most active board I'd seen, but there were plenty of guys that were not great basketball minds. I ended up here because a few guys I remember from ESPN days. I was KG4MVP2004 back in the day over there, and TrueBlue on RubeChat.

Yeah, I would lurk on RubeChat once in a while, but always felt like I needed a shower after going there...I'm kind of glad it's gone.

I just didn't like their format with all the bells and whistles of people's GIFs for profile pictures, little signature quotes, etc.,etc. I like simplicity so that the focus is on the content being written. Since I found the site so distracting, I never really spent enough time to gauge the actual posters and their comments. I'm sure there were some really strong contributors like Minneapolis Matt (welcome by the way!).
(not that this place is the most elegant either, with the Enjin-advertised fantasy gaming stuff or whatever it is, but the forum itself is pretty spartan in its format, which I like).

Thanks Q...
Yeah the thing that had me hesitant coming here in the past is the low number of members, but it is high quality over quantity posts (from the little I've seen) which I can appreciate.

Canis Hoopus is by far the most active board, although they very regularly veer away from basketball, which turns a lot of people off.

Q - are you the same ESPN guy I had come over to EBSports every once in awhile about 5-10 years back? I was a mod there with KG4MVP2004, Matt43, and a couple other monikers over the years.
