Saric is one of the sneakiest outside-in foragers in the league. Half-ass a box-out, and Saric slithers around you:"
"The Wolves, always hungry for offensive rebounds under Tom Thibodeau, have welcomed Saric's scavenging. In 77 minutes with Saric and Karl-Anthony Towns sharing the floor, Minnesota has inhaled 36 percent of its own misses -- a top-5-percentile figure among 1,500-plus duos that have logged at least 50 minutes, per NBA.com. (Can we please see a little more of the Saric-Towns duo, Thibs?)
Saric is one of the league's unheralded chameleons. He fills gaps wherever they are in any lineup."
Thanks for posting. The Slither around comment reminds me of a couple of offensive rebounds he was responsible for I think it was innthe past 2 games. Each time the ball was going out of bounds on the. Adeline Saric tiptoed and or slithered the baseline once slithering around a guyswhow and saved the ball to get another possession. One in that Spurs game it was pretty amazing that he was able to get there even if nobody was going for it.
The way Saric has played as a Wolf he is a guy that plays like a true fundamental big (strong walls up boxes out etc) that also happens to have perimeter skills like handling the ball passing and shooting. Other guys including some on the roster for this team in the past tended to play more like a guy that kinda grew into being a big. Maybe Saric grew into that as well but at 24 has a nice skill set.
I was thinking again the past few days how Saric compared to Love in some ways and the guys we ended up getting and a possible pairing with Towns and it all got me thinking if the Lakers could get Saric straight up for Kuzma they should do it. I'll admit I haven't seen enough of either especially Kuzma to be real certain of this but...Saric would be a compliment to Lebron filling in the cracks and while his upside might not be as high as Kuzma (as a scorer) Saric seems to be more of a guy that can do more to help win games. Saric is basically only 1 year older and has one more year experience. I'm not sure either team would do it but it's an interesting way of considering Saric's value both overall and to a winning team which we hope to be.
Saric continues to play well for the Wolves. He hasn't come around on his 3's but is shooting a career high from 2 because he is finishing over 80% at the rim. He already has twice as many Dunks as a Wolf this season as he did with the Sixers and currently has a career high offeneive rebound rate. Teams are not gonna want to have to face Saric and Taj all year long for 48 minutes. Both guys are gonna play hard go after balls make some nifty offensive plays in their way and all kinds of stuff that's fairly worthwhile. Good stuff. Remember this is just Saric's 3rd year in the league at age 24.

That's right, Q. I've watched him stand alongside Gorgui and Towns. He looks slightly taller than both of them.
Euro players are usually listed in their barefoot height while americans are listed with their shoes on. That is why those euro players seems a lot taller thn they are listed. Saric is probably as tall as both kat and g batefoot.

That makes sense. But he's also a little bulkier/stronger than I remember from when he first joined Philly.

He definitely looks bulkier (in a good way). He actually looks bulkier/strong in person now than he did on TV a couple years ago. That's saying something since TV generally makes people look 5-10 points heavier. The guy is tall, strong, skilled and smart. He's also determined. That's a great combination of attributes for an NBA player. If he can start hitting his 3-pointers consistently, he's going to be a tremendous player.

It's worth noting that there aren't many NBA players that are actually 7' or taller with their shoes on. Neither Towns (close) or Dieng are a part of that group. I agree that he looks bigger than I was expecting all around. I really do feel like he could be the right guy next to Towns on a pretty good team.
Dario Saric has played 12 games with the Wolves since being acquired in the Jimmy Butler deal. In those 12 games, he's averaging 10.0 PPG, 5.3 RPG, 1.2 APG, and 1.4 3PM in 22.1 MPG on 44.9 FG%, 37.8 3P%, 88.2 FT% shooting.
Simply put, he's being every bit the versatile and efficient playmaker from the PF position that the NBA knows him to be. It's up to Tom Thibodeau and the rest of the coaching staff to understand that he's the best PF on this roster and that they need to begin the slide of Taj Gibson, the starter, to Taj Gibson, the first big off the bench. Bury Gorgui Dieng somewhere in Oregon and leave him there.
Lastly, I know the Per-36 stat is fuzzy. I know there are quirks with it, but if you were to extrapolate Saric's numbers in Minnesota over 36 minutes, we'd have a player that would be averaging just under 17.0 PPG and 9.0 RPG. Free Saric. Give him some reign and our team's ceiling rises significantly.

Thibs wont make a change unless taj gets hurt.
He has a plan in his head wont delve from it unless absolutely necessary.
