Tyus has been fine but he's not better than Teague. Just not reality. He does some nice things to facilitate on a 2nd unit, but making him ahead of Teague isn't improving anything on this team regardless of system. I always prefer going length when possible, a la Pop. To me heavy doses of Wiggins Roco and Okogie makes way more sense than what is going on right now. System aside, I just don't think we're maximizing our talent by making Tyus the 9th man. I'd rather see length with Josh or even Tolliver.

Teague is better individual player,i don't think anyone can question that. For me, its more a matter of fit with who we have. And that's where tyus can look better than teague. Im just not sure how much thibs' inflexibility is handcuffing our players.

Fit with our players, i think tyus is better. But thibs wants a certain type of pg; a ball dominant scoring pg. He could get away with that when rose was an mvp and he had a great cast of elite role players. But, on this team, the focus shoukd be kat, and not the pg.

Exactly right. Teague is a better player than Tyus, but Tyus is the better PG for this team. Actually I think Teague might agree, which would explain why Teague has been lobbying for almost a year now to play him and Tyus together.

My main player-personnel goal for the Wolves this season would be trading Teague for an expiring contract and a future draft pick. I doubt we could get a 1st round pick, but we should be able to get one or maybe two second round picks.

At this rate Tyus shouldn't even be on the court. Other than deflections and steals he's been pretty awful

I didn't want to go quite this far but I'm closer to this opinion than to giving him more playing time.

Tyus is basically a Shelvin Mack type player except isn't as good of a scorer (Mack is older and therefore developed his game so Tyus has a chance to be better) but really I don't know where we are with this guy. I mean through he has flaws he is a solid basketball player definitely and NBA player but how good? I genuinely have no idea right now and so really thought he was going to take another step forward. He is playing minutes with a guard that should help his game way more than Crawford did last year playing with Rose. He is struggling to hit shots. Could a different coach and system make a difference? Getting more playing time? Yes

That one play where Teague dribbled around and then stepped inside the 3 point line to get up a prayer of a shot (at least he got off a look) I was yelling to take him out of the game. Saric was standing alone wide open for a 3. People love bagging on Teague and sure he deserves it at times but people forget non-star legit starters have games like this. We saw this from Rubio plenty of times. Would I trade Teague for nothing if it meant I didn't have to pay him next year? Hmmmm I'm not quite to that point because so still think the guy is a worthwhile starter in this league but even his stat line in the Nets game yesterday made him look better than what he was. If he really thought Tyus should have played just don't get off the bench and force Thibs to play someone else. I know the optics are bad but if you are gonna say you didn't think you should have played then is that much worse? I know it's been suggested but I would not be surprised if Teague really frustrated with the offense/Thibs. It would be interesting if he ended up opting out and signing a cheaper deal to play with Bud with the Bucks or something like that.
