China or not, that seems wrong.

I believe an extra $32M is on the line this year for KAT if he makes an All NBA team. But that's ok, as we've realized, some NBA players make more money off the court if they're really popular.

Well, apparently, playing for a mediocre franchise with a front office and former top player very publicly throwing you under the bus in humiliating fashion is actually bad for your brand, too. Who knew!?!?

Anybody else get the feeling KAT went from one of the most hyped players in the league to one of the most overlooked in less than a year?

Rose has a big market in Chicago probably getting him votes too. The guy was a legit perceived superstar and MVP. I don't think it's fair to compare it to Towns who was voted and AS for the first time last year. How about Cousins getting votes over Towns or... is Towns getting overlooked? Probably maybe Idk but it probably ain't a bad thing. Also the fans aren't gonna be voting for all-NBA so that doesn't really figure into this.

I'm just setting up shop for a potential doomsday scenario because Wolves fans are not allowed to have nice things.

Obviously, the MN market has not been kind to KAT's brand.

Interesting angle. To me I just see Towns D frommlast year and being underwhelming during the Butler fiasco as more reasons he hasn't been getting the vote. Meanwhile you have a guy like Jokic that's the new talk of the town even getting some MVP buzz. The guy is averaging 19-10-7 as a center on the team with the best record in the West. I think ultimately Towns brand will be fine but your angle is an nteredting one and certainly worth keeping innthe back of your mind. One advantage the Wolves May have here depending on how the coaching and GM etc plays out...Towns May be the man here in just about every way. I think players still like that. Obviously the Wolves need to have enough talent around him but yeah.

I fully expect the next regime to build around KAT as much as possible. It would be stupid not to... the question is how much will that lead to wins?

I think he can be a key guy on a winning team simply because of how versatile/good he is offensively. Looking forward to see how it shakes out.
