Bazz would have been a top 2 pick if he could have come straight out of high school. Imagine that.

Harrison Barnes would have went before Anthony Davis

Thinking about him going at the top of the draft a year earlier I worry that Bazz's father would have been a much bigger influence in his life and I fear that wouldn't have worked out well for him.

Uh...different drafts. AD would have been drafted a year before Bazz. Bazz was a top 2 prospect out of high school.

Oh I know that. I was just saying it is amazing that Barnes would of been drafted in front of Davis. Like it is amazing Bazz would of been top 2

If any sport needs a retooling its the NFL/College football.
I think the rest of the major sports are fine where they are at.

I highly doubt he'd have gone that high as his ranking was based on fraud. He was a year and a half older than many in his class, so once that is factored in, he would have slid to maybe top 4 to top 8, but still much higher than 15th.

I guess it's time to congratulate Ben Simmons for aligning himself with a pretty savvy marketing/PR team.
Being an NBA superstar (or even a rookie) requires a team of handlers nowadays. I'm assuming he's using LeBron James as an example...

Regardless one thing that these couple examples show is that NBA teams got to watch these young guys play and then make a more informed decision when it came to draft time. That's a pretty a pretty big deal and probably another factor NBA teams consider. College isn't the perfect testing ground but from watching YouTube videos it's more legit than some of these HS games guys are playing even if it's against teams with multiple future division one players. teams can still screw up though...Anthony Bennett and that franchise just won a Championship. Lol lol
