Will be interesting to see what Houston is like in a couple of weeks/months. Right now, it seems very much like a work in progress. They're playing much faster with Westbrook than previously when everything was funneled through Harden. And it seems like it's affecting Harden most.

35.7 ppg
But only 37% from the field.
And 22% on threes (2.8 - 13.2 per game!!)
... BUT... 95.8% from the line on a whopping 15.2 - 15.8 per game.

Oh, and let's not forget 5.7 TOs per game, too.

Harden's TS% of .583 is better than Larry Bird's and Michael Jordan's career TS%...

Houston/Harden has sort of destroyed how we used to look at NBA statistics.

It's just a different standard nowadays for what is considered efficient since the analytics movement has taken hold. "Back in the day", a TS% of 54 or 55% was pretty damn good. Now it's just OK-ish.

It's early but the Suns might be for real. They have now beaten the Sixers and clippers

Watching Portland and I had a thought. This year's Wolves team would have been the right one for Anthony Tolliver to be on. Wasted him a bit last year.

I was pretty anti Thad his first go here but he'd be a better fit next to Towns than what he was asked to do on those past teams.

The Suns are playoff contenders. Ayton is suspended for now, but they will be real good when he's back. In the mean time, Booker is healthy and Oubre is a budding star and Ricky is a good fit. The Suns were smart signing Ricky over DLO at roughly half the price.

The Wolves without KAT were crushed tonight by a far superior team. But here's what I liked in NBA tonight:

1. I loved that the Suns best the Sixers, my least favorite team after the Lakers.

2. I like that the guy who would have been my top pick in the 2019 draft, Ja Morant hade a breakout game tonight.

4. I like that the Wizards soundly defeated the Pistons, which combined with the Nets won tonight tells us that the Wolves wins haven't come against complete patsies.

5. I like that Wiggins appears to have played well tonight - at least as reflected in the box score. (I'm out of town and didn't watch the game).

And I'm sure the ladies like watching those 3 on the court together.

That would be almost too good.
