I agree completely with Sam, regarding Gorgui. I particularly agree when asked who is going to pay him that money this year. Answer, nobody!

I agree. I think last summer we saw team panic. I think we might see a little retreat on salary's for bit players. I would guess most of the teams that gave out big $'s to borderline starters are regretting it now.

People say this stuff every year...and then teams go out and spend money. I'll believe teams tempting spending when I see it.

I think the biggest reason we will see it is because enough teams went all in last year. I think that will have a bigger factor than anything else. I don't see anyone on the list there with enough space to throw 16M at a guy like Dieng who is the 4th best player on lottery team.

This may be the article that some people were referring to. I still think some teams will spend on guys. Now would Dieng get that money? Idk let's remember Dieng has been a moderately effective PF which means if a team signed him to be their starting center he would have even more value because if he has played more than just a center and was stronger this season.

So let's say that role players get less money this offseason. I won't complain about being wrong! :) Even if the Wolves did overpay Dieng last year what they did last offseason will still benefit them financially because they will be spending less on players this year than the would have last year and they have money to spend. The Wolves are like many other teams in a tricky but somewhat advantageous position. The more I look at things the more I think the Wolves have a pretty decent chance at keeping Bazz at a number people here would be happy with. We will see. It only takes one team though. But if that team spends it may leave another player available.
