I would absolutely take Ricky over Russell any day and it's not even close. Westbrook has way too many points, assists and rebounds per game compared to Ricky. The Wolves would collapse under the weight of all those points, assists and rebounds. Even worse, Westbrook would bring too much leadership and competitive fire.
I wonder if the Thunder would give us Westbrook in exchange for Ricky and Wiggins. Hmm. We could throw in Pek to further entice them. Perhaps Thibs could meet Mr. Presti for a Happy Hour discussion and slip a mickey in his drink. Then make the proposal. It's worth a try.
The young NBA player who reminds me of Westbrook? The Greek Freak. Not as quick, but much bigger. Fierce competitive force who attacks, explodes to the basket and does it all, filling the stat sheet with scoring, assists and rebounding. The Greek Freak also blocks shots. Not saying he's as good now as Westbrook. Of course he isn't. But he has that potential.

I posted his numbers yesterday. They are crazy good.
He's posting Prime Scottie Pippen numbers already.
Something like...
22 ppg / 9 reb / 6 ast / 53% fg / 2 stl / 2 blk
Watch out, Top 5... Anteroaidafoiadsfasworkupo is coming.
Giannis is an absolute stud and he's unlike anybody else in the league in terms of stat-stuffing (PTS, REB, AST, STL, BLK). It really is remarkable how he's able to impact the game in all aspects except the three-point shot.
With that said, I'd still choose to start my team with Karl-Anthony Towns. Last night was a taster of how dominant he can be. That was one of the most effortless (in a good way) 40+ point games that I've ever seen. He's just too much to handle in the post. I realize the Knicks were without some players, but that doesn't take away from the superb skill level Towns possesses. He should have had a handful of assists on top of that 45-point, 18-rebound night should teammates not have missed open shots.
The ceilings are ridiculous for both players, but I still think we have the better alpha dog on our team, if you will.

KAT was amazing in the post last night. It was good to see him go to work down there. I didn't understand why after the very first possession where he easily threw in a patented right-handed jump hook why they didn't go right back to that on the next possession. They eventually went to him again, but I found it odd they didn't do it right away.
I've considered upgrading my NBA broadband pass to see Greek Freak play. I don't have time to do that. I hope we can have some terrific battle with a very good Bucks team in a few Finals appearances with each team winning a couple titles.

What I liked about Towns last night was Towns didn't settle espcailly in that 3rd quarter when they were in the bonus. Its hard to know exactly where Towns should be all the time on offense because damn teh guy is a terrific shooter. That one wide open 3 he got later in the game was a terrific shot to get and take it just didn't go down. His teammates could have fed him more than they did but to their credit they fed him more than I was expecting them too. That's a problem this team has they don't always get to go to him or whoever has the hot hand. It's seems really easy to do, but it takes time.

Has there ever been player that have been in top20 in every major statistical category? Currently Antetokounmpo ranks top20 in ppg, reb, ast, fg%, stl and blk.
1. In the playoffs vs. the Bulls... Giannis got ejected for a flagrant foul on Mike Dunleavy in a blowout loss. Two ways to look at this. (1) Cheap shot by frustrated player that hurt his team. (2) Young guy setting the tone, trying to be a leader and not backing down. Dunleavy was playing very dirty in that game. He punched MCW earlier and hit Giannis in the neck on the previous play. Giannis took him out. For whatever reason, even though I don't dig fighting and cheap shots, I felt Giannis did the right thing at the time.
2. I heard from multiple reports that he went right at James the other night. And then again. And again. And again... I think he has a bit of a mean streak in him that is a good thing. In related news, Porzingis is more of a mean/punk/arrogant guy than I thought he was. I dug it.
3. Could be isolated... could be unrelated... but I want to see more of the kid. He could be on his way to superstardom.
