Why isn't there more discussion about losses when Andrew Wiggins plays like absolute shit? We all want him to be great, we hype him up when he plays well and we win, and then a lot of us throw blame for a loss elsewhere when he doesn't show up. It's ridiculous, if you ask me.

Is it too late to acquire Julius Randle? Probably, but we need a productive guy that doesn't back down from anybody on our team. He's tough as nails.

He's a vexing player, that's for sure. At times, it feels like he's turned the corner to become a more complete player and elite scorer. But then we see him fall back into the same sort of player he's been since a rookie: Volume inefficient scorer, inconsistent defender, poor rebounder, mediocre play maker, etc.

I definitely think Wiggins could be one of these guys that is on a very slow, but very choppy upward trajectory. He may be like DeMar DeRozan, who didn't crack the 20 PER threshhold until his 7th season.

Jimmy Butler is another guy that took a while to really become an impact player, although he was always a pretty good rebounder and defender from day one. The scoring and passing took a long time though.

There are some legit differences there though... beginning with expectations.

- Wiggins was drafted #1 and there was minimal doubt about it. Butler was drafted #30.
- Butler joined a 62-win team. He forced his way into the rotation and even became a starter averaging 40 mpg in the playoffs by his 2nd season.
- He dipped as the full-time starter in Year 3... but has bounced back better than even the most optimistic Bulls fan could have dreamed.

Haven't seen Simmons at the NBA level yet, but I fear that they both share the complacency gene.

I've seen Wiggins play for years in the NBA I'll take him. That's not a knock on Simmons it just seems like a no brainer even though Simmons is a nice talent it's just I've already seen that Wiggins is a pretty good player.

Simmons is a point forward who can't currently shoot and doesn't play any defense. I'd rather have Andrew.

Yeah, totally different players (except perhaps in temperament as Cam suggests...they're both a little too nice it seems), but I'm clearly choosing Wig. I reserve the right to change my mind if Simmons' incredible playmaking and rebounding skills moves him ahead of Wig, but I think his shooting will always hold him back.

His shooting definitely might hurt.

But it's not like the prototype isn't there already for Simmons. Giannis Antemadifuadosfjaiodfjdsliuopo is playing some solid basketball.
