Man, how crazy is Phil Jackson! Zinger would be a hell of an addition to any team.
I'm a little skeptical of Zinger. He didn't improve much from his rookie to 2nd year in the league and you always have to worry about injuries with a guy that tall. Plus has he shown that he's really good at any one thing?
IDK....May be he ends up becoming the Giannis of big men - a super long, skilled guy that is impossible to match up against. But I'm not so sure.....

Boston Celtics have spoken to the Minnesota Timberwolves about acquiring the 7th pick in the draft, league sources told Basketball Insiders.
I wonder if this is a trade down scenario for Boston or asset collecting move to get a star.
If their goal is to get a star, wouldn't this just be a zero-sum move since presumably Minnesota would want an asset that Boston could have used anyway in trying to obtain said star?

I like Collins, but 15 and 20 might be worth it depending on who drops where and what's available when....Again, I think the first round has to mostly play out before anything like this comes to fruition. If we get an Isaac or Tatum, forget about any trade-down scenarios.

I think there is a reason for some skeptism especially with him missing some games in both of his seasons. However I think the guy looks pretty special able to do a lot of things pretty well. Woj has said every team has check in on him but I saw a tweet this afternoon that Boston checked in. I'd actually think putting together a package for Porzingis mighr be smarter than Butler IF the price was about the same. Boston needs a big and Porzingis would fit right in.
Minnesota continues to show interest in landing Paul George or Jimmy Butler, league sources tell @TheVertical
Would you take a chance on Paul George?
"show interest"...Isn't everyone theoretically interested in these players? Such a throwaway headline.
There is showing interest and then there is brass tax reality. No effing way are we getting George. And other teams have just as many if not more assets to throw at Butler (unless Thibs is willing to part with Wiggins - that would change the calculus for sure, but he's not doing that).

I don't get it.....
I'm assuming the idea is to get the pick to offer 3 plus 7 for Zinger. Wolves would then get some vets that New York has no interest in. Jae Crowder? Avery Bradley? Amir Johnson? Marcus Smart?
