Maybe I'm missing something here, but what team in their right mind would take on Wiggins contract in a trade?

There are several teams that would take him on, but the issue is do those teams have anything of value to send back and would they be willing to move these valuables for Wiggins?
Re: Let's isolate on Wiggins...
Games like tonight are the reason why teams will always take a chance on wiggins because he has so much freakin talent

Re: Let's isolate on Wiggins...
If we only played Cleveland and Toronto, Andrew Wiggins would live up to his potential. He was great tonight. So was Towns despite playing only eight minutes in the first half.
Shoutout to Georges-Hunt for delivering when his number was called. Career high in minutes and points, but no play bigger, in my opinion, than the charge he drew on DeRozan under 2:00 to go. Those are the plays that show why Thibs trusts him.
One more shoutout -- Shabazz Muhammad. The guy just isn't cut out to be an NBA player. Even with plays run specifically for him, he's as predictable as the sun rising in the morning. He has no tangible skill and sucks at everything that mainly determines wins or losses -- defense, ball movement, and perimeter shooting. I wanted to cut my eyes out while he was on the floor.
Great win for the Wolves. Thankfully, the Raptors beat the Spurs last night too.

He was always a project. Now Thibs seems to be getting to him. It's great. Go Wolves!!

He's always been a #1 option caliber scorer and that will always have high value in this league. There are a limited number of 20 point scorers on a nightly basis in this league and he's been doing it since he was 20. Oh and he plays 80+ games a year as one of the most durable players in the league. You guys might not see the value in him, but there are at least 10 teams in the league that lack that guy and/or would take him in a heartbeat over the guy they have now. ATL, SAC, Brooklyn, Utah, Charlotte, ORL, DET, CHI, LAL, Dallas.

Playing devil's advocate -- because why not -- I don't think Brooklyn (D'Angelo Russell), Utah (Donovan Mitchell), Charlotte (Kemba Walker), Orlando (Aaron Gordon), Chicago (Zach LaVine), Los Angeles (Kyle Kuzma; Brandon Ingram), or Dallas (Harrison Barnes) would take Andrew Wiggins over their current No. 1 option, though they'd unquestionably like to have him as part of the mix.
I'd also add that scoring 20 per game is less than desirable if it's quite inefficient. Carmelo Anthony comes to mind in that regard. Also, in today's game, scoring is replaceable as long as there's someone willing to put up shots. You have to be able to affect the game in multiple dimensions. Luckily, Wiggins' defense looks to be on the right path.
The guy has value. He has all-world ability. He's just very far from putting it all together, though he shows glimpses from time to time. His contract looks pretty gross right now, but perhaps he can make a jump this summer and prove a lot of us wrong. Until then, we need consistent energy on both ends of the floor from him and I think that might be coming around -- cross your fingers.
Re: Let's isolate on Wiggins...
The biggest knock on Wiggins after all these years continues to be that he was drafted #1. The scouting reports said he was going to be a project with high potential and he's proven to be just that. Gradual yet far from dramatic improvements with completely inconsistent offense. On the flip side he makes defensive gains every year and now looks to be grasping the areas of his game that are required for improvement. It's a slow climb with this guy, I'm still happy we got him on our side. Especially now that there are multiple other options to take over on any given night.

I couple things about Wiggins
First of all did anyone else notice Jim Peterson reference some numbers about how bad Wiggins is in isolation? Shout out to Abe!!!
No matter how you cut it Wiggins has not looked as good overall this season on offense as a whole. Cam mentioned he hasn't been as efficient in his role this year which is true but it's maybe not as bad as first glance. Why would I say that?
He is shooting the same percentage on 2's as last year partly because he is shooting a career high 70% at the rim which probably surprise a lot of people. Of course part of the problem is he isn't getting there as much this year which is a problem.
FT attempts and percentage. This is a problem but with a lower usuage it makes sense they would be down a bit. He has struggled at the line and while it's beeen super frustrating I just don't see him going from 3 years of 76% foul shooting to a guy that shoots in the 60's. It will come around eventually either this season or after this year.
He is taking fewer long 2's as a percentage of the shots he takes. He still takes too many often but there is some progress. He is also shooting the worst of his career in those shots which is not good but is he going to keep shooting that bad?
He is taking more 3's which is good but he isn't making them at a high enough percentage right now to make him or his team be efficient on a night to night basis. I still want him taking those shots.
So in some ways you have a guy with a reduced role that other than missing FT's is doing a lot of the same stuff he did last year in terms of putting the ball in the basket. We want and expect more and in general he isn't delivering night in and night out but it may not be quite and bad as it seems. It's still worth noting the guy is a starter on one of the best teams in the league. He the 3rd leading scorer on one of the top offensive units in the league and all 5 starters score in double figures. In some ways that's kind of impressive. On the Dunc'd on podcast they mentioned how they were kinda impressed with the ability the Wolves have had of getting offense without having a lot of shooting.
I think a few of us when looking at Wiggins when that draft came around were somewhat skeptical of Wiggins being a super star level offensive player I know I was to some extent. What made me interested in give overall was people really thought this guy was gonna be able to come in and defend right away. His offense wasn't supposed to translate night in night out. So his rookie year he was more effective than expected offensively than expected and he flashes some ability to defend man on man. His offense despite some of his flaws kept being ahead of his defense...by leaps and bounds. Right now he seems to be playing more like the guy some of us expected he was going to be when he started in the league. His defense has looked much better while his offense has been more of a mixed bag. I still think the guy has shown an ability to score that's really good even with flaws and if this defensive growth we have seen this year is moving him in the right direction there...this season will be a success for his development imho. Thibs has been saying for a couple weeks now he is seeing Wiggins do theother stuff and He doesn't seem to BS praise on guys. Ultimately it doesn't seem like Wiggins is going anywhere so I think we need to hope the guy rounds out his game.

Good analysis, Monster. I agree that Wiggins isn't going anywhere, so we had better hope he improves. As long as we continue to see consistent improvement from Wiggins on the defensive end as we have so far this season, there's reason for hope. He seems to have improved his rebounding lately, but statistically for the season so far he's pretty much the same. But I agree that Thibs isn't one to dispense false praise.
