I'm watching the game on DVR, wiggins had a sweet euro on the break. Nice first quarter for him. Based on the box score, the rest of the game not so good.

I've noticed something about Wiggins the last couple games. We've all talked about his lack of dribbling. That's very obvious, but I've noticed he's had a tough time beating his man off the dribble. His defender is easily able to stay right in front of him stopping any penetration. I suppose this is due to lack of creativity with his handle but I noticed it frequently the last handful of games, that is unless he's going against that white dude from the Lakers.

I miss our last two games. Looks like wiggins was at rock bottom the last game and bounced back tonight. The 2nd half of the season starts now. I expect a better 2nd half of the season from wiggins.

Unfortunately, I haven't seen anything that would indicate that this version of Andrew Wiggins is going to change any time soon. He's as inconsistent as it gets, which shouldn't surprise anyone. It's who he is. Personally, I think basketball might be outside his top-three in things he cares about. His money, his dog, and his video games all seem to rise above all else.

For our sake, I hope your wrong. Wiggins seems to know what he should do and how he should be playing. He starts the season shooting more 3's and making more of them than he has in his long slump. He also shows more effort in rebounding and on defense.

He knows he needs to take and make more 3's in his new role and needs to defend better and rebound his position. Has he been sucessful? Not quite. He is shooting below league average on 3's and he is still prone to get embarassed on d on certain possessions. He still averages about 18 a game and slowly but surely, he is getting more steals and blocks as the season goes. We all would love to see him grab more rebounds. But if you look at the team, we have an elite rebounder in towns. Taj and butler and even teague rebound their position well. So there arent many boards to be had, he just needs to hold his own on the boards in his matchups.

I would consider 37-39% on 3's on 5-7 attempts per game and 2-2.5 steals/blocks combo and 5 rebounds a game as good production from him. I would also love to see more dunks and fast break buckets from him.

Good points, World. I think you're goals for Andrew are modest. Unfortunately, he's pretty far from those goals and shows almost no progress towards them. His 3-point percentage is 32.8%, which is essentially the same as his career average of 32.9%. His blocks and steals are only slightly above his career average with a combo total for far this season of 1.9 per game in contrast to his career average of 1.6. His free throw attempts are down from 6 to 4 per game and his FT percentage has fallen into the 60s. He's also below his career average in assists this season. I can see where his scoring total would be down now with Butler on the team, but the fact that his assists are also down is troubling to say the least. Having other rebounders on the team doesn't explain or excuse his failure to improve in that category either. He had 8 boards last night and 9 boards against the Lakers. There are plenty of rebounds to be had if he makes the effort. His failure to consistently rebound is a reflection of his lack of effort, not the absence of opportunity in my view.

I do think his defense has improved based on my own observations. His advanced defensive stats may show that improvement. So that's encouraging. And the fact that he's had some games with 8 or 9 rebounds is encouraging as well.

I was talking to a friend of mine a couple days ago. He and his wife spend winters in Florida. He was talking to a retired couple from Canada whose granddaughter is a star gymnast. Their granddaughter was shooting a commercial with to Canadian NHL stars and Wiggins. Of the four Canadian stars in the commercial, Wiggins apparently ranks #4 among in popularity. They were all ready to begin shooting at the scheduled time but Wiggins wasn't there. He showed up 2 hours late with a big entourage. When he arrived, he needed another 40 minutes to get his hair done. The other three were really pissed. They considered him arrogant and selfish. While that may be true, my take on it is that Wiggins dances entirely to his own beat. I think he's a good guy and don't consider him arrogant, although admittedly I don't know him. I get the sense that he's just in his own world and doesn't respond to the same ques as the rest of us. He's in his own world. And that's why I'm afraid we're never going to see him become anything close to the players he has the ability to be. Hope I'm wrong.

Just finished watching the game. It was an impressive win even though they played that shitty stretch where they just assumed the game was over.

Wiggins the last 2 games has 5 blocks. Interesting info shared in this thread about him off the court.

I don't think there is much more to be said except this team looked impressive.

Brooks is giving the Wolves some worthwhile minutes. The guy contests dudes wherever. He has lost no athletic ability at this point. He took a couple bad shots but his defense was actually worthwhile and it wasn't just the block he had on Cousins. He is quick and fast enough to get to a spot on the floor.

MGH...I'd like to see more from him. Having said that Belly looked better out there and guarding Miller is pretty easy just don't let him shoot a 3. Belly gave him space one time and paid for it which i didn't like but it was in a bit of a transition possession and there was literally nobody behind him.
