What? You ruin EVERYTHING!
I don't watch live tv. Not even sports. Damn it. I assume there has to be a way to use it with Roku/Apple TV that allows people to record. Recording tv has to be incredibly commonplace at this point, right?
It's changed my life.

Q what device do you use to watch Sling?
A friend of mine bought an Amazon Fire TV and had Kodi installed on it. He said it had a lot of stuff for free and watched some sports on it too. Maybe that's something to look into. I just don't always get how all this stuff works sometimes.
I think I can use Sling with the Apple TV that's been sitting in my closet (unwrapped) for a few years now. I don't think PlaystationVue works with AppleTV.
Eventually, I assume Apple finally unleashes its own streaming service along with Google.
[Note: Yeah, all this is slightly beyond my simple brain, too. And that's basically what cable companies are targeting with their business models right now. I feel duped.]

That's my setup! I have an Amazon Fire TV stick with Kodi and sportsdevil installed, I can watch most games with pretty decent quality. If the Wolves live up to this board's expectations this year, finally, I think I'll go ahead and get League Pass as I'm likely to watch more than a handful of games.

I have a fairly large monitor that hooks up to a laptop PC (on which the Sling app is installed) at a desk in our family room. So I'm not exactly kicking back in a recliner with a 50-inch flat screen, but it's good enough for me!

Thanks for the info. I watch most of the NBA broadband games on a phone (iPhone 5s) or a tablet. I know people think it seems ridiculously small but it's really big if you hold it close enough to your face. Lol Before that I watched on my computer but the apps work better on my phone and depending on what platform you use fast forwarding is better. With a phone you also don't have to worry about a cat walking on your keyboard and messing things up.

I've never paid for cable. I'm sure to some extent I miss out on good opportunities to take advantage of technology that I don't even know about and I feel like I am decent with technology. It's good to learn new things. A couple weeks ago I learned my computer monitor I had for years had built it speakers. I always had a bigger sound system hooked up but now I just wanted to something simple. All I needed was a cord and the knowledge that I wasn't aware of before.

So what all are you able to watch with that? My friend used it a decent amount for a few weeks but now he works a ton (and there isn't much to watch anyway after the NBA Finals) so I don't think he has used it much.

With the sportsdevil plugin you can watch damn near everything! Live games, the various league channels, and not just North America, you can watch pretty much everything that's televised worldwide assuming somebody somewhere is streaming it. With the big four US sports there is usually a choice of feeds so you can find which has the best quality, not always HD, but watchable to be sure. There are also plugins which allow you to watch movies and tv shows on demand. None of it above board, but better than nothing.

So you have to watch things live? I think a few months ago when I looked into it there was a way you could sort of record anything you watched but it seemed like it took more steps and I got lost for at least an evening researching about it and generally felt lost about what the steps were.
Im willing to spend some money to get the NBA on demand and for what I paid for MLB online package this year I only have to watch a few more condensed games to make it worth it. I paid for ball streams and that wasn't legal but it was great for the year I had it. Lol
So to the actual schedule, I am 90% sure that I am going to drive a bunch for the games on the east coast. Living in the WV panhandle means that I can get to quite a few places. A little disappointed that most of those games are early in the season, so I won't see the Wolves live later in the season...when they understand and can implement Thib's game plans (I am guessing 50 games/All-Star break is when things truly start to gel). Anyone else looking at attending road games?

I live outside of Philly and could probably get to quite a few games too, but fortunately I head to Mpls each winter (either over Thanksgiving or Christmas) and always catch a home game when I'm there. I know that Wildwolf, who only occasionally posts on here similar to yourself, regularly attends the NYK and may be even Brooklyn tilts. I think Phenom attends the Phoenix games.
