Eh, Karl-Anthony's already held his own/won his matchup against some very good centers: Hassan Whiteside, Pau Gasol, Al Horford, Al Jefferson, Marc Gasol, Nic Vucevic and Andre Drummond. Jahlil Okafor got the best of him tonight and got Towns in foul trouble early, which really changed the course of the game. Okafor has that ability; think you just have to tip the cap to another talented rookie big man and move on (easier to do when you win the game). Karl-Anthony can and will be more than fine at center going forward.

I agree with what you're saying, but what is his BEST position? That I'm not so sure about.

I gotta say, LST, Zach didn't look anything like a PG tonight. The 2nd unit can usually score with Zach at PG because every single guy can create their own offense. But with Payne in for Belly and Prince taking Kmart's spot, the 2nd unit needed someone to run the offense. And Zach could not do it.

I am sure Sam will give the second unit more than one game to figure it out. But it will not surprise me if Andre/Tyus start getting some regular minutes with the 2nd unit. Prince would wind up being the odd man out. Well, unless Bazz keeps sucking...

In the unlikely event that Pek comes back and is Pek for another 3-4 years, KAT would show us that he could be an all-star PF I believe. But more likely Belly will hold down the starting PF role and KAT will shine at center. He's a versatile guy.

Your take is exactly right, Tim. I thought Zach was terrible tonight running the point. But I did notice that 2 of his three TOs were when he was playing with Ricky...he only had one TO at PG. And I didn't like his defense when he switched over to SG. I thought he had a poor game (as did most of the team) but he's still a PG to me. But I'm prejudiced in favor of positive size matchups.

This was one of our worst games of the year, and Sam's rotations had a lot to do with that. I'm guessing he stays with the same starters Wednesday (even though the starters were badly outplayed by Philly's). After that I hope he goes back to the defensive starting lineup that has been so consistently successful.

I also would like to see him give some non-pressure minutes to Tyus to see what we have there. Tonight wasn't a good night for that though.

Wolves are getting 49.8 points per game from players aged 20 or younger (Wiggins, Towns, LaVine, Jones). Next best is Lakers with 21.6 ppg.

Maybe this has been mentioned in another thread, but what is going on with the East and West conferences?!? Only 4 teams have a winning record in the West, while 10 teams have a winning record in the East!

Of course, a byproduct of this is the Wolves are just one game out of the 5th seed! :)

But this one is much more important:

Wolves Media Meal: BLT salad, green beans, roasted potatoes, buffalo chicken sliders, roasted tomato basil soup, dessert.

Can somebody who's better at these things find the Wiggins stat prediction thread before the season?

Towns is a C who can play PF when the other team goes big, but for the most part you want him defending guys who are at the basket so he can protect the rim. His rim protection doesn't happen if he's guarding guys like Mirotic 26ft from the basket.
