Re: Wiggins prediction
I'll be awfully surprised if he doesn't average 20ppg. And yes, he may improve more on defense than offense. I can buy that. It really depends on his conditioning and whether they can keep him below 40 minutes a night.

Re: Wiggins prediction
If Rubio is healthy and fully capable of the things you guys expect of him I don't see how Wiggins doesn't make a significant improvement this year.

Re: Wiggins prediction
In case you guys were wondering, my numbers were what Wiggins averaged from January to the end of the season. I think he'll replicate those, but in a different manner. Rubio's presence and ability should allow things to open up for him, and provided we stay somewhat healthy, the other scoring options should take some pressure off of him from defenses. We saw him post those numbers for three and a half months. The expected improvement will allow him to do it for a full season with better efficiency. That's what I'm predicting.

2.3 APG

Those are pretty sub-par. :-)
I am more concerned with wins then stats at this point. I things go right with this team we won't need a stat hero to win games because everyone is contributing.

Well, we may not need a volume stat hero, but things like shooting efficiency and keeping turnovers down are really important to winning games. Those are stats too and you can never have enough heroes in these categories!

Q - Good point. I hope we can create a balanced winning team around Wiggins, Towns, LaVine, Shabazz, and Rubio.

To be fair, the Wolves will still lose a lot next season.
And for them to be a 50-win team, it won't be because Wiggins, Towns, LaVine, Shabazz and Rubio all pan out. It's much more likely that they'll reach that total because there's a star on the roster leading them.
Wiggins has the potential to be that guy. Maybe. If all of the young guys end up being about the same... that means at least some of them haven't reached their potential. (All of them won't surpass it, obviously)

I think Wiggins, Towns, and LaVine have star potential. Shabazz and Rubio have near All-star potential. Bjelica, Dieng, and I dare say AB have starter potential.

Yes I could. For the reason on how he was, and how he was used when the whole team was healthy. If the team remains healthy, does Wiggins have to continue to learn how to do stuff without the ball like Flip harped on? There was a ton of times where the play was give it to Martin on one side to do something while Wiggins stands on the other side. Does Rubio need to get his shots to improve his confidence like he did last season? Shabazz is going to take a lot of shots if he plays a lot of minutes.
Wiggins was putting up 20 PPG when there was no one else. Is Flip going to let him be the 1st option? Flip's got a pretty big love fest for Martin. He SHOULD be given the opportunity to score 20 a game, I just get the feeling that he won't get the chance to.
