Flip recently mentioned the trade exceptions they have and the upcoming trade deadline. We have one roster spot open assuming we don't sign Brown for the remainder of the season.

Flip has also said he has no interest in moving Martin. It could be posturing, and I am sure Flip could change his mind if the return is worthwhile.

I will almost be surprised if Mo is not moved -- it would be in both parties best interest!

I hope Young is moved. He's pretty expensive for not being a starter, and having his $ off the books next year is bound to be helpful. Maybe he can be moved to a team with a surplus of 4/5s looking for a 3/4 (Toronto?).

I think Young would look pretty good next to Al Jefferson with the Hornets. I would want Zellar or Vonlesh in the trade though. I assume they would want Stephson to be part of the deal.

This 3-way trade would work.

Paul George is getting close to coming back and Pacers are only 2 games out of the playoffs in the east.

Wow! Blake Griffin out indefinitely with elbow surgery. That's a pretty big blow...

Thad Young?!? Although I don't see a trade that makes sense.

We should trade any of those guys if the return is right. I believe Martin has the most value with his relatively cheap contract and his scoring ability from 3. Thad would be a close 2nd. As Q said, Thad could be valuable for us in the future if he is willing to accept the best role for him. From all accounts he is a great guy so maybe he would entertain something like that. As I've said before, I'm not a Martin hater but he just doesn't have much value for us going forward. He's injury prone, not a 2 way player, and he can actually get us a decent asset. Mo probably doesn't have much of a market so it doesn't matter if he stays or goes.

Our leading scorer doesn't have any value to us? Please explain how that makes any sense. Who's just going to magically make up for the 20 PPG we would lose? Bud? Lavine? That's who would play his minutes if he was gone.

How much scoring is he doing for us when he misses his 20-30 games per year?

Those 20-30 games gives the guys you want to play more a chance to get their feet wet while having a backup plan in case they aren't ready aka Lavine this year. You want to hand the keys over to guys who just aren't ready for them yet. Also he only missed 14 games last year and had a freak injury this year breaking his wrist. He's actually played more than I think most expected when we got him. 6 million for 20 PPG, 40% 3 pt shooting and 60+ games is exactly what a rebuilding team could use. Someone to keep you competitive, but will have time off to let your young guys get their feet wet. You honestly want to throw Lavine and Bud out there for an extra combined 30 MPG's when they both have been bad this year?

We need to look at being a real playoff team (3-4 seed) before Wiggins rookie contract is up. To me that means any of our vets could be valuable trade pieces to teams who need them now. To me anything that gives us more young talent and/or real cap flexibility next summer (2016) is a great move for us. The only reason to keep vets now is if they are excellent mentors or filling a need that can't be replaced. That is why I agree with the sentiment that Martin is a great trade asset and really doing nothing for this team where the whole roster stands.

Players I would like to see traded:
1.Martin (I think he can get us some future asset/upgrade options)
2. Thad (we need a better true 4 to mentor our draft pick)
3. Mo - just because we may be able to talk a team into a goofy deal in our favor
4. Pek - Just because of his injury issues and contract I think we can reorient around our star big that is coming in the draft.

WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE THIS YEAR? AND NEXT YEAR HE IS GOING TO BE 33 YEARS OLD. And yes I honestly want to throw Zach out there for as many minutes as he can get.

Disagree. I''d hold on to all of them except maybe Mo. This team with those vets could be a playoff team once you add in the 2015 lottery pick.
