OK, I'll bite. Name the 37 bigs and I'll spot you Leonard, Kaman, Davis, Plumlee and Vonleh. That's 5 bigs, name the other 32. Given that Team Canada coach is bonding with AB and the quality of their bigs is so bad, AB would probably get more minutes there.
Davis and Vonleh would both play more minutes than AB. They brought in Vonleh to be LA's successor, not to ride the bench and Davis has proven to be a solid producer already.

I think Henderson was the guy they discussed with Portland earlier per rumors and if they want AB, they have to offer up something Flip wants. If they would rather give the shooting guard minutes to McCollum and Connaughton, its conceivable they trade Henderson, but I'd think a 2nd rounder is more likely. Given how bad they should be, its almost as good as a heavily protected 1st rounder.

On our roster AB is the 6th or 7th best big. On Portland's roster most their bigs are pretty unproven and Kaman is old on a rebuilding team, so they might give AB more minutes. Remember, Triano seems to like AB, so I would expect he'd view AB as his pet project to develop. Portland would be a good place for AB and we should be able to snag at least a second rounder out of the deal.

Trading AB for a second round pick to a conference rival is a flat out dumb idea. We don't need the cap space or the roster spot for someone better than him right now so why shouldn't we be the team treating him like our pet project?

Ok so it's not a lot but I think my point is more the opportunity for him doesn't seem to be that great. We have no PF of the future and we are trading him to a team with at the very least the same amount of bigs that we do and we can't find minutes for him? Also we just hired a guy that's on team Canada's staff in Gates so the relationship angle is here too. :) Cliff Alexander is there I have no idea if they value him much or not he isn't guaranteed but they could still want to keep him around.
Well, if Glen doesn't want to tender AB or pick up his salary, then AB could be traded. If that's the direction the organization takes with AB, getting something is better than nothing. All the chatter is Flip is trying to trade AB. On the other hand, if Flip sees enough in AB that he wants to keep him, I am ok with that. AB will probably need a strong showing in preseason. It will be interesting to see how Payne, AB and Rudez fare in preseason as one of them is surely gone.
What about Towns, Dieng and Bjelica? I like the future of all of them. Payne, not so much. AB while looking improved this summer against mostly inferior international competition isn't in their class.

Yes we have some guys but none of them have that position locked down that's more what I am saying.
Rumors of guys being on the block can be more about other teams calling about them or people making assumptions than some guy actually being offered. I am not saying that's the case with Bennett but it is possible team have called not Flip just looking to dump him.
I think if AB was going to be moved we would have during the Free Agent period. I don't see him being moved before preseason starts. I could see him being a target if a team has injuries.
AB's recent play may be giving Flip pause over trading AB. I think AB's contract is the issue for the Wolves and those who might want AB. I'd assume he gets a full look thru preseason and then Flip and Glen decide what to do. If AB can convince them that his improved play is no fluke, I'd suspect he's kept on the roster or Flip would demand something better than a mere 2nd rounder. The next big question is does he get tendered. That's a lot of money to tie up in your 6th best big, but its not out of the question.
