I need league MVP added.
I don't mind LaVine playing PG. I think it is smart to do it and help his development long term. He seems to be able to handle the trials of learning it. It will help us a ton when he is a SG.

Re: Zach Lavine Career Path
I'll take the obvious answer.
A bust at his draft position doesn't even see the court. He's surpassed that. But I don't see him having the chops/awareness to ever be a star.
That's a HUGE part of the game.

Why do you have to bring Payne into this?

I know...can you believe the nerve of Abe trying to inject AP into a Zach thread?????
But since he was brought up, I have AP in the same category as Zach...something in between, albeit with a lower ceiling and higher floor. AP has been erratic on the court, but as many have pointed out, how many non-lottery rookies are not? Plus, it's heartening to see that AP is averaging close to a double double on a per 36 basis. He needs to protect the ball and shoot better, but if he continues to work hard and put up the numbers he has, and bring his defensive level up to what we saw at MSU, he will be a nice rotation player for a long time.

Physical talent, skills, passion for the game, work ethic are the main ingredients of NBA success. Zach has all of those in spades. IQ matters, but you don't have to be Magic-Johnson or Ricky Rubio smart to be an NBA star or all-star caliber player.
Zach's IQ is the only question, but folks are measuring his IQ based on his play as a 19-year old rookie playing out of position at the most IQ-dependent position in basketball. And if you watch him a lot you see that he's not clueless and that he does have court sense. He's simply nowhere near Gerald Green's low level in the IQ department, period exclamation point. And even Gerald Green has developed into a very good player.

1. I don't think his IQ is the ONLY thing keeping him from being a "star."
2. "Star" is the key word. I know we all have different definitions on that though. For me... star goes with All Star. I don't see that in his future. Hence, my comments and choice in the poll.

Abe it's safe to say we've seen a lot of busts see the court on this team
