The problem I have with this is WTH took so long. We needed PG/C depth all season. I wonder if something happened behind the scenes that prompted this.

Alex-----To me it just feels like he trying to hard to win right now, instead of trying to actually build something long term. I'd rather be really good in 4 years, rather then battling for the 8th seed in 2 and being peaked out

Great Post, agree

Remember the scene in hoosiers when coach dale plays only 4 guys. Then they cut to shooter in the stands, smiling and shaking his head.

I've felt like shooter these last few weeks.

While I have little opinion of either player in the trade, I will say that the roster is more balanced than it was before the trade.

And apparently Flip had been trying to get Hamilton a month before the trade deadline, but Miami was not willing to play ball. So the guy Flip had an interest in became available, and Flip made the move to get him. Just like he did with Payne -- somebody he had done plenty of research on and felt was worthy of the price he had to pay.

As is my usual stance, I don't mind waiting to see what the players develop into.

It's easy to be cavalier about this type of stuff..."Well, in the big scheme of things, how much of a difference does this make?". But when Flip strings together four or five of these sorts of head-scratching moves, it starts to add up! I also believe that if you are sloppy with the small stuff, you are sloppy with the big stuff too. Great decision makers focus on the details, especially in the NBA where over the course of 82 games, your 11th or 12th man may be thrust into the spotlight due to injuries.

We don't know if he was sloppy with the move. Maybe GRIII wasn't that great ?

The Mo Williams trade was fine, the Payne trade sucked, I understand the reasoning behind the Young for KG trade. Outside of the Payne trade I don't see a killer horrible trade.

So GR3 who is 21 has all this potential but Justin Hamilton who will turn 25 in April has no potential? I'm not saying Hamilton is gonna be good but it's not like the Wolves dropped GR3 for some guy in his late 20's or older. Also based on what I have seen I'd rather keep Hummel than GR3 and I think the Wolves have an option on Hummel to keep him unlike GR3. I'm saying all this and I like GR3.

I just watched some video of Hamilton. Dude has a nice stroke and this year he looks leaner and less slow. Interesting player that has a post game feel and a 3 point shot. I'm not psyched out of my mind about him or anything but I am a little intrigued and I can see why teams would value him to a certain extent. I can't wait till Hamilton and Hummel team up for a sick rap album this summer. Lol

Honestly don't care there is only 22 games left and GRIII was a free agent after this season and hardly played. Flip just wants to look around, were not gonna be good a top 6 team in the west for at least two more years anyways. Lets focus on scouting right now

Yeah, none of those highlights showed his defensive abilities... With the minutes restrictions on Pek and KG, he should get plenty of opportunity to show his stuff.

Dig that the board is invested enough to discuss the atrocity of losing Glenn Robinson III.

I just don't know what the guy ever did to justify it.
