Ok the Kings have been rumored to be open to trading DeMarcus Cousins. George Karl calls wanting our top pick for him. Who pulls the trigger?

I would pas on Cousins. Talent is there, but man he is a time bomb.

That offer wouldn't happen, plus Monroe would have to want to sign on here and I doubt that is the case, but since it's hypothetical, I will answer.

No. I would keep the top pick, draft Towns and roll with him alongside Pekovic in the frontcourt.

Umm if he called offering Drummond for #1 and pek I take it. Drummond is 21 and a sure thing for boards and defense.

Really? Towns is a crap shoot, Drummond is for sure a big player on the NBA AND we get rid of peaks contract? Come on.

I'd rather roll the dice on Towns and Okafor then trade the pick for Drummond, to be honest. I like his physical tools; he's built like Dwight Howard, which is freakish. And he sure can pad the stats with boards and crazy double-double numbers, but he's essentially DeAndre Jordan all over again. He has zero moves in the post, and is an even worse FT shooter than DeAndre at under 40% the year AND his career. That's beyond unacceptable. And I also question how good of a defender Drummond actually is. For all the tools he has, he's still no where near what he should be.

Give me the 19-year old big (Towns) with the potential to impact the game majorly on both ends of the floor in ways only a few can in today's game (Davis, Gasol, Horford) or the 19-year old big who's a walking 20/10 with the potential to be the centerpiece of an entire offensive attack. Yes please.

I take the for sure player who will very likely rival DeAndre Jordan. A player like that is what we need next to wiggins, lavine, and Rubio. You can project Okafor and Towns all you want, but the reality is they can both potentially put up 5/5 and be out of the league in 5 years.

I'm a big fan of the "for sure" thinking when it comes to trades. I was a huge advocate of Cleveland trading the top pick for Love. Here's the thing, though. The player that would be acquired for the No. 1 pick, however, has to be of star quality, in my opinion. Neither Drummond or his comparison in Jordan are star players.

And I clearly don't think either of the two bigs in this draft will flop. Both have the potential to surpass Drummond in this league relatively quickly too. They're just way more skilled, and honestly, they're both way smarter than him too.

Had you said, trade the top pick for Paul George, DeMarcus Cousins, etc., I'd be inclined to agree with moving the top pick. Drummond just doesn't do it for me.
