Anyone know what Payne did to piss off Flip again? He scored on a nice post move, and then Flip yanked him 2 minutes into the game. Jim Pete said it was because he wasn't rebounding, but there must have been more than that. Maybe he rolled his eyes at Flip again.
It might have been because Casspi was playing PF and that wasn't a good matchup.
Good call. monster. Casspi was lighting him up at the start of the game, and maybe it made more sense to put another SF (bud) on him. Bud has been playing surprisingly good defense of late too.

Peterson said again Payne went out because of lack of rebounding. I'm curious if That's something Flip has said it not.

He never did that with Thad. Just another example of Flip treating our young guys harsher than their vet counterparts making the same mistakes.

Skilled player, but a total sieve defensively. He just can't stop anyone in the paint, which is a massive problem for this team. Kings shooting 60% in the first half (!) mostly because they can do whatever they want on the interior. Like I've said before, watching Hamilton get pushed around and scored on inside makes Dieng look like Bill Russell - and Dieng is terrible!

Payne has been horrible. Of course you give your vets a bit more rope. They are far less likely to respond to quick hooks than a rookie. That's just part of being a young player in this league.

He is such a knucklehead. He's a classic example of someone that can't do any one thing very well, something J-Pete was talking about earlier in the game.

I like Hummel's defense better at either PF or SF than what I have seen out of Hamilton and the other issue with Hamilton is he doesn't seem like a very good rebounder. On the other end it looks like his jumper is an actual weapon. Is that accurate in a what you guys have seen?

Yep. Of course it helps playing against a crappy team like the Wolves.
