And unlike me, he's not a T-Wolves homer...he's a Chicago resident and Bulls fan. I didn't post in Cool's wins projection thread, but if you believe what this author is saying, the Wolves are poised to win far more games than were forecast in the thread. Flip isn't the right guy to coach this roster, but we're just going to have to accept him for at least another year. I think there's enough talent, and talent that fits together well, to make the playoffs this year.
BUT, since these are the Wolves, I have to add this to the end of the last sentence..."IF they can stay reasonably healthy".
Whoa Nellie, slow down there LST! You and Tim must be drinking buddies.
I'm with TKRO on this one. I find it pretty hard to fathom a playoff squad coming together for us next season, especially in the ultra-competitive West. We are in all likelihood going to have a rookie starting Center and multiple 2nd/3rd year guys in the rotation, not to mention the same fragile cast of veterans. That won't be good enough in the West. May be 2016-17 will finally be the year.

The article mentions AB is working out with a shooting coach/personal trainer/Navy seal/motivator
Oh good, I thought he was just sitting around Tim Hortons eating donuts all day.

I'm hoping Bennett gets it, but I'm not going to bank on it. If he does finally get it that would be a huge bonus. I think it may be prudent to see what he and Payne can do this year. I don't see us as a playoff team and I want Flip to use this as a developmental year. We need to play the long game, not short term stuff. We will have Wiggins and another cornerstone type player with the first pick. Develop the team and in 2016 we should go in contention mode.

Glad to see he's putting the work in. He did the same last year and still struggled.
I actually think AB ultimately "gets it". The question is to what extent and are we really willing to pay the $5-6M per year to find out? I could be a lot more patient with the guy if he wasn't on a #1 pick salary.

At the beginning of the year, you have to be in contend mode I think. If that means no Payne or Bennett because there's a competent player ahead of them (Bjelica or other), then so be it. Try to win AND develop. Guys that have no means being on the court just pull the group down.

Agreed. That was the mode we started last year in, but then everything came crashing down upon us with the injuries.
Between KG's minutes restrictions and off days, I'm pretty sure these guys will get another chance. Let them battle it out and earn their minutes.
