Darren Wolfson ?@DarrenWolfson 2m

Former Michigan big man Jordan Morgan will play for the #Twolves summer team, I hear.

One of the things I love about the NBA is that there is no emotional let down after the draft...because two weeks later we have summer league! Read the attached article and try not to get excited for Vegas...man, is there going to be a lot of talent there!

And the Wolves are going to have an intriguing squad:

PG Shved
SG LaVine
SF Muhammad
PF ?
C Dieng

And we will get a first look at the Little Dog too. As I mentioned earlier, Summer League is a time for experimentation so I expect to see Muhammad getting a shot at some SG too, and Deing showing if he can handle a little PF. And now that we have LaVine, I'm sure Flip will want to see what he has at PG too. Promises to be the most interesting summer league ever.

Lip and phenom, be sure to let me know if you plan to go this year. I am thinking about making the 5-hour drive through the desert to watch a couple games, and it would be great to have another Wolves fan to analyze this promising group of young players with.

The desert drive is always fun. I was just there a few weeks ago, but basketball might get me to go again. Let me know what you guys decide.

PG: Shved/LaVine
SG: Muhammad/Heslip
SF: Budinger/Robinson
PF: Hummel(?)/
C: Dieng/Morgan

Where are the power forwards, Flip? Need some grinders.

Not sure if he's been picked up yet, but I'd like Flip to go after Khem Birch.

Morgan is more of a PF he played C for Michigan because they really didn't have anyone. GR3 had to play PF at times they really had no size beyond Morgan and Horford.

If we're looking for a SL PF who will attack the boards and pass the ball, there's a guy sitting at home now in north Mpls. who might be an interesting choice. He'd probably have to get to Vegas by bus though.

Would anyone take a flyer (so to speak) on Royce?

Long -- I'd love to go this summer. I can't go the first weekend, but I may be able to get down there for the final weekend beginning Wednesday or Thursday. I'll keep you posted. It should be a blast watching our young athletes doing their thing with the Russian Rubio and in Vegas.

Rooms at the Best Western within walking distance are relatively cheap too. Not as much fun as the strip, but basketball is better anyway :)
