Flip really should try to get this done by draft night obviously if he wants pick packages but also if he doesn't. Right now Flip's best leverage against G.S. is teams with picks because they are most comparable to Klay in value. Once the draft is over and once those teams make picks for themselves, the Warriors are have less of a reason to offer their best. Klay might still be attainable but not much else.

Nope not crazy but I've been saying that since the beginning. Its a little funny to me that. Here we are again talking about trading love for draft picks when that's been something people suggested many years since Love joined the team. IMO screw rebuilding go for the Win by keeping your best player. If you can't build a little more around Love this summer what hope is there really of being able to successfully rebuild the franchise if you trade him?

He'll enter camp with the team. It will be the most awkward media day ever.

I jus finished watching last night's Sports Show. First, I recommend it to everyone just for the comedy of watching Sid tell Lavelle E. Neal to shut up about ten times. But there was also some interesting Love-related content.

With the GS deal unraveling, Lavelle asked what it's going to be like having Love on the team next year. What do his teammates think of him? Sid tried to pitch the idea that Love gets along well with his teammates, but the normally submissive Mike Max said "No, he doesn't". Sid tried to play the
"I know more than you, because I'm there all the time" card, but Max wouldn't allow it. Max said he was at almost every practice last year, and Love is clearly not well-liked. And that was last year, before "we" became "they".

I get two things out of this. First, it reinforces what I have always felt about Love...that he is an immature, selfish guy that lacks the ability to be relational. But secondly, last year showed that Love can still be productive without being liked by his team, so there's no reason he shouldn't produce this year too. Yes, it would be better to have a cohesive team like the Spurs, but the Wolves will be better this year if Love isn't dealt...for all the reasons that have been laid out here several times.

I'm still hoping for an attractive offer before Thursday, but with Thompson and #1 currently off the table, I still don't see it happening. I'm readying myself for another season of plugging my nose and cheering for Kevin Love...and the remote possibility that better results and $26 million turns him around.
