So if we aren't bottoming out, what's the solution? Magically become the next San Antonio? Nail every draft pick in the second round, coach em all up, develop both our own talent and the cast offs from other teams? Sounds great! All we need now is the best coach in the history of the league, one of its best gms, the best small market superstar ever drafted (at number one, mind you) and a bunch of second tier players who will play for under fair market value.
Or: do exactly what okc did and what Philadelphia is doing. Bottom out HARD for four years and hope you end up with enough raw talent to sustain an upward swing to contention. We bottomed out and emerged with one all-star. Not enough. Time to try again.
Oh, and if you think waiting on another rebuild sucks, explain to me why we are better off winning 30-35 games a year and missing the playoffs for the next five years only to have zero chance of any upward mobility?

horatio, intentionally bottoming out isn't the solution. OKC is historically lucky with what they had in Durant/Harden/Westbrook/Ibaka. Name another team in the modern era that's had that great of success on 1st rounders. You can't because there isn't one. We just need to hit on draft picks and develop them into useful players. No more Wes Johnson, Derrick Williams picks.
