I am not bothered by his hire one bit. He was the best coach in our history, and I know he's capable of winning with us. He'll be better than Adelman, and likely better than most or all of the unknowns. We need an energetic veteran coach whether we choose to keep Love or trade him.Hoiberg needs a few more years coaching college, Mitchell is bleh. Van Gundy and Karl have had teams with a nice spread of talent and have underwhelmed, in my opinion.

Flip has always found a way to orchestrate an offense based on the player's he had. He found success almost everywhere he went, and has playoff experience our young team will need if we happen to make it there. I really believe Flip always liked it here in MN. It seems to feel like home for him. Maybe he feels the need to finish the job because he jumpstarted some success here but was never able to complete the task of our first championship. Flip wants that Timberwolve's history!

Right now there is no competing words when it comes to basketball decisions. Flip drafts who he wants, signs who he wants, trades who he wants for what he wants. In the end, he gets all of the credit, whether it's good or bad. I like it, no more passing the blame. If anything, the last year watching from above likely gave him a different view of our team. He even eluded to seeing things Adelman ignored, and most everyone here agreed with it as well, example being Barea. Unfortunately Flips hands were tied then. Now, I'm betting on him to succeed.

I don't think it was hiring Flip specific. It's more to the fact that the franchise is so out of wack that it's come to this. When your owner comes out and says " well this isn't what we wanted by whatever" " I really wanted the GM and coach to be separate but whatever" It's not the impression you get that the franchise is heading anywhere positive.

Wait, who was the backup PG that Flip gave Adelman to work with over JJ?

I'm assuming he was talking about how Barea would play over Rubio down the 4th quarter stretches. Or how Barea handled the offense instead of Shved when they were on the court together.

Right, while it doesn't sound good...It's the truth. It's the truth whenever you miss out on your top coaching choices. Heck, the Knicks don't even look good in their coaching search...and Memphis...their owner is a loose cannon, where's the stability there? I think it looks worse to many Wolves fans simply because it's so close to home...but if we lived in Memphis or NY, we'd be having the same talk about their own coaches...in fact, the Lakers too.

Shved, Price, a guy sitting courtside??
Adelman liked Barea, wanted to play him. In fact, he deliberately sabotaged with Barea.

Shved who couldn't hit the broad side of a barn, or a career D leaguer. Your right, they would of made all the difference in the world

Who cares what our owner says? If it was a Mark Cuban, I'd understand. If it was an owner who knew basketball, id understand. If it was a good owner, then what he didn't want to happen wouldn't happen. You want to say we're doomed because OUR owner says these things?? I'm glad Flip took the lead. Bout time someone tells Mr. Taylor to sit down and shut up.

Exactly, its the truth. The truth hurts. Just because it's the truth doesn't mean it's good news. I would kill to have the success those franchises have had over the Wolves

Your assumption proves to be right. I think everyone yelled at their TV's a couple times last year over these issues.
