I thought the Spurs was the better team in this series but Miami seemed to be able to hang around. Now this series seems bsically over. This offseason is gonna get really interesting.

Oh and Lebron got outplayed by a better team in the Spurs and a young SF in Leonard 2 games in a row. Spurs played amazing tonight.

Awesome performance by the spurs this past two games. Team basketball at its best. Diaw has been great. His passes are really good. Leonard has been exceptional. All spurs needs to do is close out the series @home.

Diaw's versatility as a big that can facilitate is one of the main reasons I want Kyle Anderson in the draft

Diaw's great on defense, though. Anderson struggles on defense. Slow-Mo is not just a nickname.

We've broken down the Spurs' consistent excellence over the past 15 years so many times (just look at their record over those years, for crying out loud), it's hard to say anything more about them without the risk of exaggerating.

But what they've been doing this postseason, really starting in the Portland series, has been phenomenal. It's appropriate that the World Cup is just starting, because this team plays team basketball, moving the ball so well, that they're like a soccer team. They're so much more than the sum of their parts. They're an absolute machine. Hats off to them.

That said, the series isn't over yet. But if any of you want a chance to see some of the most beautiful team basketball since the Jordan era ushered in superstar "hero ball," check out the next game and the Spurs just might show it to you.

I'm with you Drew on the gushing over the Spurs. Their team concept farts in the face of what this league is all about. It was really odd watching the last 5 minutes of that blowout last night, seats were half empty, felt like a game in December.

But of course the four letter radio network this morning had to talk about Carmelo to the Heat rumors.

Go Spurs, it's been so fun watching Leonard, Diaw and of course the veterans move the ball around so well and get good shots.

I was watching the Spurs play last night and was wondering how Kevin Love would fit on that team. Maybe I am tainted, but I think they would be worse. He would stop the flow of the offense and complain about calls and throw them off their game.

Yeah, some people are talking about Carmelo, and that's ridiculous. But I've actually been really impressed with how everybody: JVG, Mark Jackson, Rose, Collins, and Simmons, Shaq and Barkley, and all those announcers, including the Sports Center guys, have recognized how well the Spurs have been playing. It's almost a little weird because the Spurs are such a low-key team that doesn't really talk about themselves that much.

It's weird to think about an MVP for this team because you could make a case for a few different guys (Duncan's D has been oddly overlooked, though it's been really good). But as great as Leonard has been the last couple days, you'd almost have to give it to Diaw, which seems crazy. Duncan, Parker, Ginobili, and LeBron, Wade, and Bosh in the finals and Boris freaking Diaw might be the best player on the floor.

What's interesting is that one of the common held views in the NBA is that one must have a superstar - perhaps two - in order to be a contender. Duncan at one time was a superstar, but now he and his sidekicks Parker and Manu are merely very good players that have teamed up with other very good players and a very good coach to create a juggernaut.

The other thing is that Pop squeezes every ounce of potential out of every player. I'm convinced that Diaw, Mills, Green, and Leonard would be nothing more than average-ish players on other teams.

Excellent points, Q. My only disagreement is that I think Leonard would be a terrific player (much better than average) playing for just about any coach. I'd also say that Parker is an allstar caliber PG and would be on just about ant team.
