Re: Your Name
My name is Matt. I'm from St. Louis. My journey to becoming a Timberwolves fan is sort of weird. I'm a huge St. Louis Rams fan and with them moving after the season I decided to start following an NBA team. As a 90s kid I was a huge Bulls fan and a Magic fan. Loved the Shaq/Penny squad. I decided on the Timberwolves because of the Kevin Love trade. I wanted to be a fan of a team that wasn't yet developed, but had a bright future. I also wanted to be a fan of a smaller market team. I picked the Timberwolves and I'm glad I did. It's been fun getting to know you guys.

I've been watching the Wolves since the Pooh Richardson days but really got drawn in once KG was drafted.
Played basketball in high school for Southwest Minnesota christian. (Edgerton ,Mn )
Sothwest Christian won 4 consecutive state A titles from 98-01 and another in 2012. Go Eagles!
Edgerton...one of the most legendary Minnesota basketball stories! Yes, SW Christian has been a powerhouse recently, but I still remember the 1960 Edgerton team that somehow beat big bad Richfield for the state title...it was our own Hoosiers story. I idolized a guy on that team, Dean Voorhees or something like that, and patterned my game after him all the way through high school. Great to have am Edgerton guy on the board!
Re: Your Name
My name is Kelvin. Wally szczerbiak was my favorite wolf player back when I first discover the espn boards. Hence, the worldK screen name.
Re: Your Name
I was TimThePunk, TimTheSaint, and then 60WinTim. But my real name is Doug. As a kid I grew up in New Jersey (another plus for Towns!), but was transplanted to the Twin Cities in high school (Edina). Have been in the Twin Cites ever since. Followed the Wolves early on, was drawn in even more with McHale, and have had a fixation since KG (another reason I loved the KG trade!). 55+...

Ha, it really was Hoosier story back before there were classes.. It's was the Edgerton public school of 400 enrollment playing a much larger school. Dean VeenHof and a Vanderstoep were the best players. Prolly don't need to point out that it's a Dutch community after reading those names. Haha One of my enduring memories was watching my oldest brothers team losing to Trevor Winters squad from Slayton in the last seconds in a bid to go to state. Southwest has had a lot of great squads over the last 25 years.

Funny names. I know a VantHof from Edgerton. Any names that don't begin with V?

I'm from mpls and my name comes from the dude perfect stereotype videos. I wouldn't describe myself as the rage monster but I thought it was a pretty funny one especially in the golf video. I bet most of you have seen it already but here's the link to the basketball stereotype video. We're all basketball fans so I think you'll find it funny but you've ever played pickup ball you'll think it's hilarious. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0gWxHFMog9w

Re: Your Name
Name is Dave. Born in Canada, spent most of my primary school years in Central Wisconsin. St. Cloud State grad. Settled in Eagan after college and transferred out to Portland in the early 90's. Was a huge Bucks fan before Minny had a franchise. Had split loyalty for several years but slowly the Wolves overtook my rooting interests. Was a baseball player for the most part, but ended up coaching basketball. Have taken AAU teams to top 10 finishes in the country. Oldest daughter was an All Mountain West point guard for San Diego State. Still love all the Minnesota teams, especially the Wild in addition to the Wolves.
