Its heavily protected and Asik is a legit starting Center they basically stole a starting center for next to nothing. They can sign him after this year too. Hell of a deal for them.

Agree monster. Great deal for pelicans since its lottery protected. Dont discount anthony davis. He is emerging as a superstar and he might be in consideration as best pf in the game next season. Imagine a frontline of davis and asik. It will be defensive and rebounding force. The pelicans are emerging as playoff candidate team. I wont be surprised if they became the blazers of last season. Davis, holiday, gordon, evans, asik. They have legit talent. Add a few shooters to the team and they will be dangerous.

That is likely to be a nasty defensive team even if Gordon can't guard a chair. Just to clarify I'm not saying Gordon can't play D just saying even if he sucks that's still a pretty good 3 in Asik davis and Holiday. Evans has the potential to be good on that end.

I'm not high on Gordon or Evans. Holiday, Davis and Asik is their core. Still have no bench and two overrated, overpaid players in Gordon and Evans. Hell, Asik is overpaid too, but you know what you get from him every game.

The early reports I read listed no protection, but if its top 20 protected, that isn't such a bad deal for New Orleans. Still Houston made out well. They signed Asik as a free agent, back loaded the contract and dumped the bad year onto New Orleans. They still get a late first rounder out of it. Morey is a genius. Wish we had him.

Gordon and evans are overpaid but both are starting caliber players in the league. Add anderson, if healthy that gives them a really nice core of 6 with still some flexibility to add some talents.

Davis is a player to watch next season. I have a feeling he will make that leap into an elite nba player and will challenge love, griffin and lemarcus as best pf in the game. He already is a superior defender over the 3. Holiday was hurt last season. He probably wont be an all star again in the west but he is a solid pg. Monty is a defensive minded coach. They will be a top defensive team next season for sure.

Davis is 21 and finished up a 20-10 and almost 3 blocks a game in his 2nd year in the NBA. He has progressed much faster than I expected no doubt and yeah I actually expect him to take another leap next year. He seems primed to be a stud on both sides of the ball.

Intriguing that the rockets seems to be making a play for both bron and melo with harden as trade chip for 1 of them with the rockets signing the other outright or parsons as trade chip for the other.

If i were phil jackson, il offer melo in a sign and trade for harden. Harden seems more of a phil type of player and younger. Rockets only do that if they could get bron as well.

Will you guys be intersted in love for harden instead? provided rockets can sign melo outright in free agency ala howard.

Would I be interested in James Harden?

... ... ... ...

You damn right I would. I'd kick Kevin Love out of Minnesota so fast.
