Isn't he the guy who told his assistant coach, Greg Foster, to sit the F down last week after he hit a three pointer... shortly after Foster was on him to start playing better defense?
Lol. I hadn't heard that. That's hilarious. In any event, he was an impressive rim protector last night.

I became a Kelan Martin fan after seeing him in Summer League and I was thrilled when the Wolves gave him a two-way contract. Unfortunately, they let him go and he's not a rotation player on a good playoff-bound team. On a positive note, Martin is another example of the Wolves front office acumen for spotting young under-the-radar talent.
He has played 233 minutes this season. His numbers are nice in that amount of time honestly I was surprised any team gave him an NBA deal even if I did believe he may have been an NBA player. Keep in mind the Wolves didn't even keep RHJ so I'm not exactly sure who they should/would have let go to keep Martin. I guess they could have brought him back on a 2 way deal. I'm happy the guy has stuck on an NBA roster for another season. All things considered that's a heck of an accomplishment. I'm going to need to see him do something a lot more before being too pained about letting him go. I hope he succeeds.
To Monster's point, the sample size this year is small thus far.
I was a fan of Martin too after watching him in the 2019 summer league and then some G-League games. But then we gave him his chance and - here we go again....wait for it......HE FORGOT HOW TO SHOOT, WHAT A SHOCK! With regular playing time over 31 games with the Wolves he managed to shoot 39% from the field and 26% from 3.
So I don't blame the Wolves for moving on from him. He sucked at the big league level.
Now will I be surprised in the least if he suddenly finds his stroke with Indiana? Nope.
