I don't disagree with Edward's comments about his comp- Dwayne Wade- although that would be a best case.

I see Culver's best comp as Khris Middleton, although he needs to improve his terrible free throw percentage to get to Middleton's level. Middleton was only a 32% 3-point shooter in college and has improved greatly...Culver's form tells me that he can too. Whether he can get enough minutes on a team stacked with wings may be a factor in his not reaching his potential.

I mostly agree with your "ceiling" comparisons here Lip. Vince Carter was a great SG, but never quite a top tier player. In fact, I think I remember how his Toronto tenure left some people wanting for more. I think we need to be prepared for a similar situation with Edwards.

The other thing about Roy and Carter is that they came into the NBA much older than Edwards. It's going to be hard to project Edwards' ultimate ceiling for a couple years, just like it was hard with Wiggins and many folks (with solid reason) felt a few of us Wiggins skeptics were not being patient enough. I was always open to the idea of Wiggins turning it around eventually, but despite numerous 10 to 20 game stretches where he'd tease us, he would ALWAYS regress to the mean of mediocre shooting and effort levels that we saw from Day One.

Culver is an outside shot away from being potentially a great 2-way player in the mold of Brandon Roy (may be even better defensively). But that outside shot looked so bad last year, it's hard to see him overcome it.
