Yes. Its been a while that we had that type of sharpshooter. I remember him in college hitting flamethrowers from near half court.

First contract was excellent. 2nd contract not so much.

Billups would be my choice. We got him for cheap and he signed for mid level money with the pistons only when we would not commit to him the starting pg role because of the injured brandon( he never played a game again after we chose him over billups by the way)

La phonso Ellis played well for us for 1 year with the vet minimum. Hoiberg was another good signing.

David kahn gets a lot of ridicule for drafting 3 pg's in the 1st round in 1 draft. But it should be noted that he also signed 3 straight pg's in free agency for 3 straight years with near identical amount and years!!

Rammon session 09 4yrs/16m
Ridnour 10 4yrs/16m
Barea 11 4yrs/19m

All were placeholders for rubio and all were good signings at the time. Sessions coming off a strong year. Ridnour was always a solid player. Barea just had a good playoff showing when we signed him up. David Kahn love pg's.

That was some quality research. Billups definitely a top 5 what if for this franchise.
