I'd be on the board with a Troy Daniels signing, drew, but I think I've seen enough of Rudez stretching on the sidelines.

Rudez played more than well enough for an end of the bench guy when he got a chance. Given Mitchell's focus on developing the youth I'd say he could have given quite a bit more. I'm saying they shouldn't try to do better, but I'd rather have a Rudez on a cheap contract than Rudez+ on one of this weekends ridiculous contracts.

Thibs absolutely values rebounding. We already have Wiggins with mediocre rebounding numbers.

Wasn't Rudez an historically bad rebounder?

Thibs has already cut bait on Rudez, so it's all moot anyway...

I wasn't suggesting there was any chance he'd be signed, just that he wasn't terrible when he did get minutes.

I don't expect anybody we sign at this point to play in front of any of our current players, so Rudez for almost nothing to be a 14th man on the bench would be fine with me. You're right though, moot point.

Wait, we just got a verbal agreement with a center from the Clippers with 4 days to go before the guys can actually sign the contracts. Thibs needs to hide that dude ASAP! Canoe trip in the Boundary Waters?

I think Rudez could be a solid deep bench player but I also don't have a problem with moving on. I think for a couple million more or even the same price you may be able to get a better player.

Technically this would be his 6th team in 7 years. He appears to have improved significantly in that time.

Tells you how ridiculous the NBA has become when we say "for a couple million more..." as though it's pocket lint!

An old interview with Cole. He mentions he grew up as a diehard Wolves fan and his favorite player was KG (2:52 mark).
