Could be another redemption story, like Whiteside. Odds are against it though.

Regardless, it might not be a bad idea for some team to sign him to a 3 year deal that would be considered cheap in this new market. Having already failed out of the league, he could probably be gotten for a really cheap deal. If he can actually produce, he would be valuable as a trade asset, because in this market he'd be worth so much more than what he probably is worth now. Teams would give up a ton for a rotation player with a cheap contract. Buy low, sell high. Not sure it's worth it for us, but with some of these guys getting crazy money out there right now, it's tough not to think signing AR might be a good idea just to acquire a possible low-risk (small contract) trade chip if he pans out.

I was more impressed with his handle, ability to create shots, defensive presence and his willingness to create shots for others and his ability to beat his man off the dribble. I felt I saw all those qualities in college. And oh yea most of it was done against another physically gifted NBA pg. and when he was matched up against another highly touted rookie, he looked pretty physically imposing. With my earlier praise of Dunn and his first performance I never mentioned his stats once. Again, if people weren't so sensitive in regards to Rubio, nobody would be going into the archives about past performances in SL. I get people are annoyed with the Rubio v Dunn talk. I won't post on the topic anymore. I'm just truly excited about the player we drafted this year. I think our "core 3" everything talks about is now a "core 4"

That's a bunch of B.S. I actually wanted the Wolves to draft Dunn because I thought he was the best talent avaiable, yet I'm also a big fan of Rubio. It is possible to be a big fan of both players, yet you have chosen to simplify this into a Rubio vs. Dunn debate, which it's not. You would have a lot more credibility if you didn't first start posting on this board with the sole purpose to troll Rubio. Hopefully you'll continue to branch out into other areas and opine on the team as a whole.

The reason I went back to research other SL performances was I was genuinely curious and also Lip had asked about Flynn. I think at this time of year we're always a little curious to look back at the track record of past SL players who have since turned out to be great NBA players or busts.

Like Q, I had Dunn atop my draft board as best available, yet I think Rubio is much better than most give him credit for.

Unless the guy took a giant leap from what I saw in the international tourney's last year no thanks. With his physical abilities and obvious talent he should have been impressive. It's CRAZY how young he still is (turns 27 on the 15th).
