Wolves are 2 - 1 without KAT.
That's nearly a 55-win pace. I was wrong about that guy. Wolves don't need him. Obviously.

I didn't see the game tonight. But KBD's stat line was impressive - 18 points, 6 boards, 2 steals, and 2 blocks while hitting 58% of his FGs 2 of 3 from behind the arc. I know it was against the Knicks, but still impressive.
Okogie shot 1 for 6 from the field. Wow, Q's right that this guy really needs major surgery on his shot.
Tim is right that Gorgui is just too slow for the NBA game. But you'd think Thibodeau would have figured that out before giving him that huge deal. Or maybe Thibodeau never really understood the speed and style of today's NBA game. Hmm.
I just can't fathom why Teague played nearly 33 minutes tonight - especially after his horrible game last night. Keep him on the bench. If he doesn't like it, then maybe he'll be more motivated to opt out of his final $19 million next season.
We now have 32 wins. I'd shut down Towns and Covington the rest of the season just to make sure they're fully healthy this offseason and next season. Without KAT and Covington, the Wolves would probably win no more than 2 more games the rest of the season. Finishing with 34 wins should be good enough for the 10th slot in the lottery.

This is one of those games where hating on Teague makes no sense...

My problem with Teague is that he doesn't shoot the open three enough, you are actually being selfish and doing the team a disservice by passing up those shots and forcing the team into a worse look. He also is inconsistent to say the least. Teague should be averaging 20 points per game on effective shooting, he'd be worth closer to his contract. Oh and play better defense.

He's having one of his worst seasons of his career. You have to go back to his rookie or second year to find one that is worse. I didn't think we were paying him this much money to be this inconsistent and inefficient.
That being said, it's hard to find anyone much better on the roster. Rose can't handle starter minutes and is even worse defensively; Tyus has regressed as a shooter (gee, what a shock - a Timberwolf we drafted struggling with his outside shot), and had we kept Rubio he hasn't exactly progressed much either.

We are 23-19 with Teague and 9-15 without him he is a key part of this team.
He is a solid NBA starter. He has flaws of course and at times can be frustrating but he is a very solid NBA starter.
To Cam point weird game to get mad at Teague he was the best player on the court last night

What's nice is he has done more than just scoring. Just a solid game. RoCo and KBD could be very solid for us next year.
And Dieng is just too slow for today's NBA game. There is not a ton of stuff I can say is great with Ryan, but benching Dieng is one of them (as you had previously mentioned).
I noticed it in the previous game against the Wizards but does anyone else think Dieng looks slimmer? His upper arms used to look sorta big and they don't now. Was he like sick or something? Dieng is a solid NBA bench center in a league that doesn't need them much. Regardless his per 36 minutes would suggest he is having a career year in production. He played well on this game despite poor shooting percentages. Dieng being on the roster and even playing sometimes isn't the problem it's his salary. At least the guy is doing something good with all that money. The best news is we are a little over a year from him becoming an expiring deal that could be moved. It's time to just accept the Dieng experience and quite fantasizing about dealing him away. So should whoever is running this team.

It's a couple games and other than Beal it's not like we played against some high level scoring wings but yeah KBD certainly makes you want to see more. If he was just a solid starter type it would make moving Wiggins super easy. Shot creation? Eh we can figure it out. Wiggins isn't exactly the answer in that regard either.

Jim Pete talked about him being sick and looking noticeably thinner... lost 20 pounds or so?
Don't know if more information about that ever came out.

ZERO sense.
"I didn't see the game tonight" was the key part of that post. Lip... if you saw the game, you'd know why Teague played 33 minutes and why your statement deserves some criticism.
That being said... he was abysmal on Saturday. Mind-boggling bad. And it wasn't the shooting (2 - 14 fg) that was most alarming. The guy made the wrong choice repeatedly... time after time after time... down the court. Fumbled the ball just enough to bog things down. Over-dribbled. Et al.
He did not even look like a legit NBA player on Saturday. He was very good yesterday.
And that's a huge part of the problem. How can a seasoned vet look so poor one night and great the next night?
[Note: This can be filed away as blasphemy/slander... but I can't help think there's something behind the scenes going on sometimes. Personal problems. Booze. Etc. Teague's performance on Saturday was really that bad. And it wouldn't be unprecedented in the NBA. Heck, there's a sordid history of players who drank too much, partied too much, et al in the L over the past few decades.]
