Tyus has gotta get better at finishing plays, whether it's the floater or stepping into an open 3. Those shots have to start going in for him to get any kind of decent 2nd contract from anyone.

Jose Calderone is a guy Tyus should be able to emulate, but with better defense.
Jose was physically limited and a poor shooter when he entered the league, but he got better over time.

It's a massive curse that has lasted for many years. There may have been that one season with Kevin Martin and Love where they were making them at a decent rate, but otherwise it's been a problem for a while.
