My first reaction is:

the Miami offer was better. I like Covington but I liked Richardson more.

I also like Saric and I'd absolutely start aggressively shopping Gibson, but I don't think he's a great fit with Towns. Granted, it's early to think about the 2019 draft (or maybe not), but all the good prospects are wing players and we've pretty much locked ourselves in to Covington /Wiggins. Wolves are pretty much locked in to having to address PG or even PF/C somehow in the draft.

i woulda pushed for an extra first but this is what happens when you lose leverage. That first rounder coulda been Jaylen Hands or something like that.

Taj and Tyus better be next on the chopping block

I wonder if Bayless gets released. He wouldn't seem to have a role here.

Nobody knows what the Miami deal was, so stop the comparison.

Butler is going to get hurt and he sure as hell isn't going to get along with Simmons and Embiid. OMG, this is going to be so much fun to watch.

Great deal for philly. Butler can shoot the 3 playing off Simmons and Embiid just fine. He'll have to adjust his game. That may or may not happen.

How many of you would take Covington Saric and 1 playoff year with Butler over Lavine, Markkanen and Dunn? I'm honestly 50/50 on it.

Well, it kind of explains Butler's performance, and thus the teams failure to win. I guess the season can now officially begin for the Wolves!

Butler nearly sat Friday night's game -- after intending to play -- as Philadelphia deal took form. Sides finalized agreement before Minnesota flew out of Sacramento.
