Wait, I thought we already had two of those guys in Wiggins and KAT! Or so I thought we did!
But alas, it's always the
next draft that will cure our ills! Oi vey....

It looks like a much stronger draft than last year. Premium picks are going to have a lot of value.

I know what you mean, but we need more good
veteran players. Can't stop trying now.
There. I fixed it for you above.
I have no problem with a high lottery pick, so long as we auction it off to the highest bidder.

IDK. Thibbs first season was a failure. Coaches generally get two years to show something or they are fired. I think Thibbs will be moving into "win now" mode next year and he'll be making moves for established players. There isn't any security in this league unless you win. I can't see him just crossing his fingers and hoping his young guys get a little better next year. Expect some moves. And our pick is one of the few assets that could bring us back a good player.

Lottery picks become veterans eventually. Hopefully KAT and Wig can by our go to vets as early as next year.

If we obtain a top 3 pick the options are endless what we could do and I don't think there is a bad option.
Dumb question is the draft before or after free agency

Most years I would agree. And I'm predicating this on getting into the top 3. If we do that, I want the draft pick unless we get an offer we simply can't refuse.

Draft is before free agency, which usually begins on July 1 (I think).

Exactly. We should be done with the bottoming-out-to-stock-up-on-high-lotto-picks phase. We've got our show horses, now we need to go get some plow horses....(er, or something like that!).

May be, may be not. All I know is that if you put a top 3 PG pick on this squad, they will expect to start day one. Great, so now we have a rookie PG QB'ing the offense while facing a murderer's row of vet PGs night in and night out. Another season out the window, kicking the can down the road again. No thanks!
