Yeah but does he have the motor to sit there?

I did that one for you Lip. All that being said there may be a good aspect of Wiggins showing that he is invested in the big picture of this franchise. The prospect of 5 years of KAT and Wiggins together is enough for me at this point. I just keep praying for no injuries.

Good point here. I think it's good if Wiggins is there although it's not a ton to read into but I did feel like as the season went on Wiggins looked more comfortable on the basketball court interacting with teammates coaches refs and even other players. He likely will never be chatty but he needs to grow into a guy that can be vocal enough to help lead. Doing some low key stuff like this might be a good way to get him in the spotlight.

I agree, Doper. As for injuries, one of the things I like about KAT and Wiggins is their durability. That's something often overlooked when assessing the value of players. I think durability is a huge factor to consider when evaluating players. So far, KAT and Wiggins have both demonstrated that you can count on them to be on the floor every game while also playing heavy minutes. I'd like to see Thibs ramp down their minutes for sake of their longevity and continued durability. But you can't say enough about the durability and reliability of these two young players. Wiggins may not have the motor or intensity I'd like to see consistently from a player with his talent, but the guy shows up every game ready to play and never complains. So I'm all in on seeing both Wiggins and KAT together for the next 5 years, knowing they'll both get max deals.

We have been very healthy (on a relative basis) the last couple of years. Dieng is another guy that does a good job staying healthy.

That's what makes last season so disappointing, especially the first part of the year. We were coming back full strength with the same starting lineup we ended the prior season with. We encountered a number of teams with injured players (Memphis is one that comes to mind immediately) and had a pretty soft schedule overall. Yet, we stumbled out of the gate and never fully recovered....despite staying healthy.

See how we can turn a good thing into a negative? Ah yes, Minnesota sports!
