It's not terrible, could definitely be better. If this was it, I'd be glad to see that the lime green is only subtle. The font is clean and would like nice and modern across the jersey.

It's safe. Clean. Non-threatening... and is a bit of a callback to the "howlin' wolf" logo many people prefer.
I actually Love the current logo/colors. So have been scared to see the changes.
I became a T-Wolves fan when I was a kid because of it (from Kansas and had no team).
I'm having trouble uploading the new logo, but you can see it from this guy's twitter: https://twitter.com/sportslogosnet?http://news.sportslogos.net/2017/04/11/minnesota-timberwolves-new-logo-leaked/ or go here: http://news.sportslogos.net/2017/04/11/minnesota-timberwolves-new-logo-leaked/

As noted... it's safe and non-threatening.
Let's see how they incorporate it and alternative/secondary logos...
I've always been a fan of hidden/double images/messages in logos. I dig the old Brewers mb/glove. I dig the NJ Devils logo. I dig elements of the Bucks new logo with the antler/basketball. I keep looking at the gray part of the Wolf like it's supposed to represent something... and it doesn't.
The new logo is fine with me. I would have liked to see something fresher but I'm glad the wolf among the trees, especially with the white splotch, is gone. The rebrand is going to hinge, for me, on the quality of the new uniforms. Other than the charm of the originals, I have never been a fan of the unis.
I would have really liked to have seen an original take that incorporated colors unique to the league. Brown wolf, yellow moon, powder blue eyes. That would leave open the possibility of an alternate callback to the original Laker unis.
