Unicorn sighting tonight. Amazing first half by Ricky...that first quarter nearly brought a tear to my eye.
Now the reality: we are only up 8 and they have the momentum. As much as I like Ricky the scorer, it's time for Wiggins to re-engage. Another 7 point half from him and I think we lose, because Ricky isn't going to keep this up and Rush may not make another basket. Also, Dunn, Tyus and Bazz need to show up! Stat!

Wiggins doesn't just re-engage. The lights go out for extended periods of time, he's the Wolves version of Charlie Coyle. Awesome talent, irritatingly inconsistent.

Totally agree. Wiggins has got to step up to the plate. It's not like he didn't see the ball. He took 9 shots but made only 3. My guess is they try to get him going right away in the 3rd.
Rubio is not a scorer. What we've seen the last couple nights is the exception. Yes, we want him to be more aggressive, but he's simply not wired to be the #2 guy more than once in a blue moon. It's going to fall apart at some point if Wiggins doesn't join the party.

....and sure enough, they go right to Wiggins in the post and he gets fouled. Good call by Thibs.

One of the things that has always bugged me about Wiggins is his half-hearted attempts at stopping fast break layups at the rim. He's had a couple of really weak efforts tonight on that front. Grrrrr.....
Nice jumper by him though. We seem to keep clinging to this 8-10 point lead, but it doesn't feel safe....at all.

Critical point of game. KAT sits down. Who will score? Can Wiggins put his imprint on this game? Washington isn't going to stop putting up points. They are too good. We need to keep putting the ball in the hoop.

With Lavine out I guess the Wolves big two is now KAT and Rubio.

Slow start by the bench in the 4th, but solid D, and then they found some offense. Nice!

That is just sick KAT. I mean for a guy like that to be able to spin baseline and hit a long fade away.... WET!
