I've been getting frustrated lately too. But hang in there, Misty. A very talented young team that generally plays hard every night and doesn't quit. That's what Flip has left us. The wins will eventually come. In the meantime, enjoy the ride.
If by "enjoy the ride" you mean enjoy the basketball equivalent of Chinese water torture, I'm down.
Start Zach at the 2. That's the one wildcard left to play this season. After that, I'll think lottery.
But I love the team we have comin' up. KAT is the REAL DEAL. Both him and Wiggins need to get stronger, older. KAT looks like he can put on some weight. Most centers are late bloomers, KAT is doing work off the bat. Once he gets strong...

I'm enjoying this ride more because this feels like it's the real deal with legit talented players and some other talent to get somewhere. It can still go wrong but the legit high end talent plus some other guys that are easy to cheer for is sorta fun even if it's for another year or so till we see consistant good play from this group.
It was a great post. Not to quibble, but you left Bazz out. Was this just a Yuletide oversight, or do you not count him as a gift?
Yuletide oversight. But watching him tonight made me wonder whether Bazz is one of those gifts I'd like to return.
Yikes, that 3 on 1 where Bazz never considered passing to either of his wide open teammates was painful to watch, but not as painful as his horrible defense last night...Sam had no choice but to sit him after 10 minutes of ineptitude.
Bazz is still one of my favorite players because I love guys who leave it all on the court every night. But he may be the dumbest basketball player on the team right now. When you listen to him talk he sounds like one of our smartest guys...up there with KAT and KMart. But he lags way behind in terms of basketball smarts, and he doesn't seem to be improving...he was equally bad against the Spurs. I think Sam understands that there are nights where Bazz can't be stopped and deserves 25 minutes, and nights like last night where 10 is too many. He can't be an easy guy to coach.

That fast break he should have passed it but I will defend him a little because Tyus didn't looked spaced out enough to make it an easy pass to a smaller player. The way it played out was actually a better winning basketball play 2 points and a foul. That's part of the good/bad you get from bad sometimes he will attack and get fouled but I won't work out all the time. Brewer was the same way only he was worse at finishing than Bazz by a lot.
