Perhaps, but most of the other teams calling are likely playoff teams that won't give much up, such as the Cavs. The Kings are still trying to make some sort of a playoff push so they'll want something back they can use.

I like his potential as a shooter. He piques my interest some.

No they won't. Well, they might jokingly, but not seriously.

Martin and Payne for Mac? Sure! But I don't think the Kings would do it. And I wouldn't give up anything more.

I hope Milt likes him too. I'd trade any of our non-core players for him.

Not sure if you saw it, Lip, but I previously mentioned a Martin + Payne for McLemore + Belinelli deal. It works financially and there are reasons why not to and why they should accept it. Others on the board didn't think it was realistic, but I still see Martin as better than "complete piece of shit" unlike most.

They are the Kings, so anything is possible, I just don't see why they would trade for an older guy like Martin who has had injury issues and give up McLemore who is younger and could ascend to the type of player Martin was. I'm not sure we have the trade resources to get him. To me the only guys we should be shopping are Martin, Prince, Miller, and Payne. I don't think any combination of that gets the deal done.

1. McLemore isn't a top-10 pick anymore. That isn't his value anymore and we need to understand that when we talk about him.
2. He's been up and down in his short career. His minutes have been up and down as well, which shows that perhaps they don't know what to do with him.
3. With all that said, from an outsider's look, McLemore looks like he has potential to be good shooter with athleticism and nice tools on defense.
4. The Kings are looking to make a playoff push. They aren't looking to trade McLemore for something along the lines of future protected first round pick. They're looking to acquire a veteran that can help them win now.
5. It has been rumored several times that the Kings have had interest in bringing Kevin Martin back to Sacramento. There were rumors as recent as this year.
6. I'm not saying the Kings are for sure going to trade McLemore in a deal for Martin, but I am saying that it's not a crazy thought. One poor half of a season and we've written Martin off as absolute garbage. His trade value isn't where it was this past summer or previous, but it's not as bad as some of us perceive it to be. He just does not fit in here at all with what we have going, thus a reason why he hasn't played in (fill in the blank) games.
