Free Agent Bigs
Re: Free Agent Bigs
Deng would be my first priority. It's sounding Noah is going to be too expensive. I think the couple of people who have mentioned Jordan Hill are onto something. He could be a nice role-playing big to compliment KAT, Dieng and Bjelica. Anything we receive from Pek, KG or Payne is gravy. Add in Deng at PF in the right situations, and I like our depth in both the frontcourt and backcourt.

Given Thib's emphasis on adding more size and toughness, I have to believe he goes after one of the big Centers TeamRicky listed.

Yeah i like the Mozgov idea too. I know he struggled last year, but maybe we can steal him away and see if he can't play like he did 2 years ago.

Anybody else have moments when you think, what the heck, let's try to land Whiteside?!
I mean, I don't like what I can tell about the guy's character, but MAN. Having him, Drummond, or Deandre Jordan just makes a team so much more dangerous. There's nobody else in their league for what they do.

I listed Whiteside in another thread. As a player he would be perfect next to Kat. Ultimately I think he stays in Miami but I would love him on our team.

"perfect next to KAT" describes almost any existing C or PF that is an above average player. Horford? Perfect. Cousins? Perfect. Whiteside? Perfect. Deng in a small-ball format? Perfect.

I also wouldn't mind Mareese Speights or Trevor Booker hadn't seen those two mentioned.

I feel like he's gonna go after Deng or Miles Plumlee.

Re: Free Agent Bigs
Looks like Cole got some love as a top 25 FA.
http://espn.go.com/nba/insider/story/_/id/16538435/nba-free-agent-rankings-kevin-pelton-lebron-james-kevin-durant-more
19. Cole Aldrich
L.A. Clippers
Center
Age: 27
Unrestricted
Projected 3-Year WARP: 11.3 | 2015-16 RPM: 3.2 | 2015-16 WARP: 4.1
Quietly, Aldrich enjoyed an incredible season backing up DeAndre Jordan last season. According to Basketball-Reference.com, he and Whiteside were the lone two players in the NBA to average better than 12 points per 36 minutes (14.8), 12 rebounds per 36 minutes (13.0) and three blocks per 36 minutes (3.1). None of those numbers were far off Aldrich's career marks, and he also shot nearly 60 percent from the field.
Such an impressive performance doesn't always translate into larger minutes. Still, I'd love to see Aldrich get a chance to try it.

No thanks he will be near max money and the teams defense got worse with him on the court. I think he is extremely overrated and don't want him when he gets his pay day
