This is the first time I've seen him. His defense is outstanding, and he's been effective on offense too. I see little chance of Thibs not signing him for the rest of the season. He makes the bench D just that much better.

Yeah, Ricky and Wig have been terrific. And don't forget Towns with 20-6 and G with 13 rebounds, and the bench all with positive numbers and playing superb defense. First game I've watched in a while...picked a good one!
You caught me! ROW THE BOAT (side note gophers got a commit yesterday that had Bama, OSU, Michigan and Clemson offers WTF).
They did what I expect beat a team with 3 of their top 6 players out still fun to see sometimes

Yeah, as nice as this win was, let's keep in mind that it was a predicted win in Q's schedule thread...we're still only on pace for 29 wins. Not nearly enough to consider challenging for the 8th spot. I think my expectations ceiling is now "a few good games like this that provides some hope for next year"...whoopee!

Heard it was a sellout crowd. Lance puts players in their seats. (I'm probably in the minority here) but I want to add Larry Sanders like we did with Lance. After we let Pek or Payne go, sign Larry to a cheap contract where we have virtually no risk and if he can play defense at even 80% of his former days, he'll be our best defender hands down. He'll be hungry to prove himself all over again. Lance and Larry could really spark our second team.

I get your point, I do but I think there is a lot more of a risk to larry sanders, he is a head case, gets in trouble off the court, hasn't played in 3 years. If he is great with us in a year where the playoffs are probably not going to happen the wolves have to resign him to a good sized deal and does he just quit again.

Wonder if there might be some competition for Stephenson when his 10 days are up. He obviously belongs in the league, a contender may want to add him for depth.

This is one of those games where the Wolves make themselves look better than they really are. The Bulls were missing a bunch of key guys and on the tail end of a grueling road trip. There is really zero to takeaway from this game. Hopefully our guys decide that defense is important when we play an actual NBA team in a couple of nights.
(Thibs was in fine form. Holy crap was he loud, profane, and obnoxious).
