With supposedly having the greatest coach since Red Auerbach himself, our young players having another year to mature, and building on the promise of last season, our expectation should be 50 wins. That doesn't necessarily mean I'm predicting a 50 win season, it just means that's where the expectation should be.

I'll see what happens between now and opening night before making a final forecast.

Well, we'll breathlessly await your final forecast, but I suspect someone will open up a win predictions thread prior to that. Of course, last year, we started one before the pre-season and then when LST decided he wanted to amend his initial forecast, he started a new one after pre-season! I've decided that I'm going to start mine at the all-star break this season.....

As for the expectations vs. predictions issue, I was commenting more on the Hoopshype prediction of 5th in the Western Conference, which would clearly require 50+ wins.

Just looking at the additions compared to subtraction shows how much better we are going to be. Add another year of experience to our young guys and a super coach in Thibs and we are knocking on the door.
