I hope not. It would be weird to have your SG and SF be your primary post players. Towns has to be down there too

It's simple to me. Mitchell should basically go to these two and tell them whoever defends the best throughout camp and preseason wins the starting 2.
(that being said, I still think Martin starts on day one, but we'll see).

I think it is a 3 way race. Martin, LaVine, and Shabazz. I would give it to the best defender.

Kevin Martin will start when the season tips off. I feel confident and comfortable in saying that.

Shabazz is not a 2, despite what he thinks of himself. He's more of a SF/PF than a SG/SF.

I maintain our most disruptive lineup will be Wiggins and Bazz switching between the 2 and 3. It really doesn't matter to me who is where. When they were on the floor together last year I thought they showed glimpses of an extremely dynamic tandem. Both have the potential to develop great outside shots, and have complimentary aspects of their athleticism. Lavine I still see as a great option for eventual 6th man scoring x factor role.
I agree with Cam that Martin will start and I hope to God he plays great so that when the time is right we trade him for future assets.

Playing Bazz at the PF postion is playing right into the hands of the opponent. Bazz's value last season was using him to force the other team to play their bigger wing on him to limit his post up ability. Playing him against a PF does that for them, taking away his biggest strength.
As Doper pointed out, having him and AW playing together as our wings is likely our best situation going forward.

My point is more about Martin's mindset. I have no problem with a guy thinking he should be the starter. But what he should have said is "I feel I should start, but I'm going to be happy with whatever role the head coach assigns to me. If he feels it's best for the team coming off the bench than I'm on board with that."
Instead he comes off like he's giving some sort of ultimatum. Start me or see how I'm going to act.
