They can keep Bismack for that kind of cash.. Would rater have Joakim Noah for a much cheaper price.

The reality is that Noah's going to get around $15M per year too...

It's amazing how a couple of good games in the playoffs can significantly increase a players value. If Jonas didn't get injured and Bismack continued with limited minutes behind him he'd be lucky to get half of what's he's predicted to get.

I like Biyombo as a player but not at 17 mil a season.

I'm pretty sure that even without Biyombo's playoff run, he would have got at least 12 million per year just based on how he performed during regular season while Valanciunas was out. He had basically similar stats during that span than he had in playoffs and his Toronto team had pretty much identical record than they had with Valanciunas playing. And like LST wrote in other thread, his per 36 minutes stats have been similar when he has come from bench. So it is not like he would have played much better as starter but more like that he has shown that he can hold his own even against starters.

Ed Davis got a relative bargain 3 years 21 million last year from Portland. Biyombo was gonna get at least that this offseason with a rising cap. Last year Biyombo had sort of an under the radar relative breakout year and then he built on that. I think saying he is a flash in the pan isn't fair to a 23 year old guy that's always had sole solid per 36 numbers and has been steadily been getting better. Will he be worth 15+ million that he is expected to get? Idk but I'd bet he ends up being worth at least 2/3rds of that contract.

I'm thinking more like 8-12.. He was at like 13 mill last year. Why would he get more after a down year?
