Milt says Wolves in this draft process are looking for two-way players, guys who can also defend.

We should be looking for best talent possible. If we pick McDaniels over Stauskas I'm gonna flip the fuck out. Don't do that to me.

I think it is fair to say all players are 2-way players. It is just a matter of how good they are at each way.

I wish TJ Warren could shoot.

Interesting Mock Draft - Jeff Goodman

13 - Tyler Ennis - Minnesota Timberwolves (40 - 42)COLLEGE: Syracuse HT: 6-3 WT: 182 POS: PG
Analysis: Flip Saunders isn't sold that Ricky Rubio is his point guard of the future, and drafting Ennis could allow him to move both Kevin Love and Rubio in deal(s). Ennis is a pure point guard like Rubio, but is far more consistent and a better shooter.

He looks like a guy that can finish inside. Lots of interesting players in this draft. If the guy we want isn't their at 13 I woud love to trade back and acquire another pick like last year. Bulls with 16/19 would be a good option.

If Staukas is gone by 13 I'd be all for trading down for the 16th and 19th picks from the Bulls.

Zach LeVine at 16 and Kyle Anderson at 19 - the two UCLA Bruins. I have these two guys as the sleepers in this years draft.

Then draft the Greek Freaks brother Thanasis Antetokounmpo with the 40th and trade away the two other 2nd rounders (with Barea) for future picks.

Rubio / LeVine / Shved
Martin / Budinger / Antetokounmpo
Brewer / Muhammad / Anderson
Love / LMAM / Hummel
Pekovic / Dieng / Turiaf

I really think you and bleed are on to something, kiwi...I like the idea of trading down for 16 and 19 if our ideal player isn't there at 13...lots of potentially great players will be there in the late teens. I don't agree with you about LaVine though. This guy was completely overmatched in college ball last year...not at all ready for the NBA in my opinion.

"Ennis could allow them to move Love and Rubio".

Haha. That should be easy, also, let's just keep moving backwards each year. Trade Love this year, Rubio next year, maybe Pek too.

Stauskas is going to be a bust, way too slow to guard wings.

Slow? Sure. Not sure that is the biggest part of defense, though. He gives the effort and competitiveness, plays smart, understands spacing concepts and has good size. The side to side movements are what people mainly get on Stauskas about, which is fair. Thing is, there aren't many SGs in the league that I think would torch him or make him as much of a liability as it's getting blown up to be. I think he'll be an average NBA defender anyway.

Defense aside, his offensive ability will keep him from being a "bust". He's just too good on that side of the floor to get hit with that tag. The guy's floor is somewhere around JJ Reddick, a starting SG in the NBA.

I think Gary Harris is the guy Flip's most interested in, to be honest. Remember how much he wanted Oladipo? Harris has his type of defensive impact and grit (though lacks the height, wingspan). Harris is a better shooter, though. Just makes sense in seeing how hard we worked to trade up for Dipo.
